Dolly Parton surprises terminally ill fan to fulfil his bucket list wish

Gold wrote down some of his biggest wishes to help him stay positive during his illness. Sadly, his condition worsened and his lymph nodes and liver were affected. Doctors told him he had less than six months to live because of liver failure. One of the items on his wish list was to meet Dolly Parton. Just before Christmas, she unexpectedly called him and it really boosted his mood.

In an interview with KSL, a nearby NBC partner, Gold revealed his "roster of existence" and shared, "one of the names on it was 'encounter Dolly Parton,'" he explained. However, he assumed, "it'll never occur"... Yet, to his surprise, Parton sang him a tune and included his name in the track. As a result, he declared, "I believe I will exist forever."

Parton expressed her joy in knowing that she has a dedicated fan who has been following her journey for years. She revealed that she has heard about the fan's loyalty and wanted to express her gratitude for their support. Parton expressed how delighted she was to have shared her journey with the fan during their lifetime. She also mentioned her desire to bring happiness to her fans through her music, actions, and words. In conclusion, Parton thanked the fan for the honor of touching their life in some way with her work.

In addition, she performed a small segment of the song "I Will Always Love You" but modified the lyrics to feature his nickname, 'LG'.
