Just like its name implies, Tesla claims that its Bioweapon Defense Mode has the capability to safeguard drivers in the event of a real bioweapon assault.

Elon Musk recently turned to Twitter to bring attention to one of Tesla's most unconventional characteristics - the integrated Bioweapon Defense Mode. As its name implies, this feature has the capability to shield drivers from possible bioweapon assaults.

The feature, which was initially introduced in 2016 for the Model X and Model S, has largely gone unnoticed by many in the business world and even some Tesla drivers.

The Bioweapon Defense Mode feature created by Tesla aims to shield drivers from external air pollutants such as bacteria and gases.

Tesla has added an extra feature called Bioweapon Defense Mode to its existing high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter. According to Tesla, this filter has the ability to capture a staggering 99.97% of particles.

According to reports, the latest mode has the ability to create a "positive pressure environment" in the vehicle, which is said to be similar to the systems used in medical establishments.

According to a recent blog post by Tesla, they claim that simply being inside your car can provide sufficient protection in the event of a bio attack of military intensity.

Tesla's Bioweapon Defense mode has been subject to online banter, as some individuals state that Musk's automobile company is going beyond reasonable measures.

Nevertheless, it was reported earlier this year in January that a number of Tesla owners were utilizing the technology, which was originally introduced seven years ago, to evade the hazardous smoke caused by wildfires in North America.

According to an article on Business Insider, Reddit has become a platform for Tesla owners to express their admiration for this new feature.

A user shared: "I have made extensive use of this tool while California was being engulfed by wildfires. It functions exceptionally."

One individual expressed, "Residing in California, I felt immense relief to possess this during the year 2020. Our atmosphere remained tinged with a distinct orange hue for an extended period due to the rampant wildfires in our region. On a few occasions, my spouse and I resorted to seeking refuge in our vehicle within the premises of our home, as a means to provide some respite for our respiratory systems."

According to research firm GlobalData, Tesla's financial results for the fiscal year that ended in December 2022 showed a revenue of $81.4 million. This figure reflects a significant growth of 51.4% compared to the previous financial year of 2021.
