Martin spoke out about being unable to take part in Taskmaster's Champion of Champions in a statement released before the show aired. They expressed their anger and frustration at the situation.

I really want to compete for the championship title and endure another week of Greg's teasing. But I believe Kiell is the best choice to represent me. He's quick, loves to win, and he's way cooler and funnier than me, so we have a good chance of winning.
