???????? Eurovision 2024: Loreen was Supposed to Join Johnny Logan at Semi Final One?

Johnny Logan

Loreen was set to perform alongside Johnny Logan for the semi-final interlude at Eurovision 2024.

In the beginning of May, Johnny Logan - a distinguished victor of the Eurovision - was revealed as an interval performer for Semi-Final One of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. Logan, who is recognized for his winning performances in 1980 and 1987 when representing Ireland, and for his songwriting accomplishments in 1992, is among the most renowned figures in Eurovision history.

The latest news from Aftonbladet reveals that Johnny Logan and Loreen, two winners of the Eurovision song contest, were scheduled to perform together during a break in the show. However, it seems that Loreen backed out at a later stage. Tony Beard, Loreen’s manager, has disputed the claims. Loreen is still set to take to the stage for the final of the competition.

During the first semi-final on May 7th, Johnny Logan will perform "Euphoria", the Eurovision song that Loreen won with in 2012, while being accompanied by a live orchestra.

Benjamin Ingrosso, another Swedish pop sensation, will be taking the stage on May 7 for Semi-Final One. During his performance, he will showcase a medley of his greatest hits. Ingrosso, who made his mark in the industry with the sensational hit "Kite," secured his first number one spot in Sweden in 2024. He has already graced Eurovision before, representing Sweden in 2018 at Lisbon, Portugal, with his track "Dance You Off."

Loreen emerged victorious in the 67th installment of the Eurovision Song Contest representing Sweden, triumphing with her song "Tattoo". As a result, she achieved a remarkable feat of becoming the first woman to have won the contest twice, having already tasted success in 2012 with her hit song "Euphoria".

In the end, Sweden has earned their seventh Eurovision triumph, having previously won in 1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012, and 2015. This achievement puts Sweden on equal footing with Ireland as the most successful nation in the competition. Loreen has also made history by becoming the first woman and the second person ever to secure two Eurovision victories.

The city of Malmö will be hosting the competition for the third occasion, after previously hosting the event in the years 1992 and 2013.
