Target is pulling some of its LGBTQ merchandise. This is happening before Pride Month. The company is doing this because of "threats" and backlash from customers. Target announced this on Wednesday.

Target will remove some Pride Collection items from their website due to threats towards their employees’ safety and well-being.

The company is changing its plans. It is doing this because of the unstable situation. The company wants to avoid more confrontations. So, it will remove certain items. The items are causing problems. The company made this clear in a statement.

Target will remove some items but it’s not specified which ones. They’re doing this before Pride Month, which happens in June.

Target has swimsuits that hide private parts for trans women. People on social media thought that these swimsuits were for kids, but they are only for adults. Target has made it clear that swimsuits for kids do not have this label.

The governor of California, Gavin Newsom, wrote on Twitter. He blamed Brian Cornell, who is the big boss of Target. Newsom said that Cornell sold out the LGBTQ+ community to people who are extreme in their views.

Newsom said the attack on the gay community is happening across the country. It's not just a few stores in the South.

In April, people criticized Bud Light too. They partnered with a transgender influencer called Dylan Mulvaney.
