Top 30 Under 40 nominations open Aug. 1

Applications for the Kootenai County Young Professionals' esteemed honor, the Top 30 Under 40 award, will commence on August 1st.

KCYP stated in a news release on Friday that Kootenai County is home to numerous skilled individuals who deserve recognition for their dedication, both in their personal lives and professional careers.

Chosen by a group of community members who are not influenced, the prize is a chance to display the achievements of youth across the region.

Sydney Stinson and Asa Wolfe, the committee chairs for the Top 30 Under 40, are encouraging individuals in the community to adopt an innovative approach while selecting their nominees. A "professional" refers to an expert in a particular field who upholds and enhances the quality of assistance and support provided to clients in that specific industry or occupation.

The Top 30 Under 40 focuses on individuals who excel in their fields of expertise and actively contribute to the overall growth and development of the professional community in Kootenai County.

Wolfe expressed that this accolade presents an incredible chance for the community to recognize and appreciate people who excel in their respective areas. It might refer to the proficient carpet cleaning technician who arrived punctually, guided you through the cleaning procedure, and ensured to inquire about your satisfaction before you departed. Alternatively, it could be the dedicated CPA who devoted additional hours to complete your tax return swiftly, even with limited notice.

According to Wolfe, there is a rise in the number of professionals residing in Kootenai County.

Creating and nurturing a community is a challenge, which is why we want to give recognition to individuals who are going the extra mile to contribute to the growth of Kootenai County," Wolfe stated.

The evaluation of the competition will occur in October, and the announcement of the winners will be made in the beginning of November. The distinguished Top 30 individuals under the age of 40 for the year 2023 will be honored on January 27th at Elevate, a sophisticated and prestigious event where formal attire is required. The Top 30 winners will be granted the privilege to boast about their accomplishment, along with being presented with trophies and various appreciative gestures from the community.
