In a recent blog post, Michael Douglas talked about the employment of intimacy coordinators in the filmmaking industry.

During a recent interview, the legendary performer, who is now 79 years old, declared that during his prime years - specifically, the late 80s and early 90s - actors would personally see to it that anyone who crossed the line would be dealt with accordingly.

Michael also elaborated on how engaging in such actions could harm the reputation of the individual, leading to negative consequences for them in the future.

As modern safety precautions become more prevalent, the star of Basic Instinct has disclosed that they have contemplated their implementation in the television and film fields.

Michael divulged that he and his female co-stars in adult films have made lighthearted comments regarding what it would be like to have an intimacy coordinator on set.

In a recent interview, Michael Douglas, who is now 79 years old, talked about the role of intimacy coordinators and how they were not needed in the past. He suggested that during his successful career, actors would handle situations where boundaries were crossed without the need for external support.

The performer clarified that engaging in such actions would bring about an unfavorable image for the individual, and the consequences would eventually catch up to them. (Shown alongside Sharon Stone, who was 66 at the time, in the 1992 movie Basic Instinct)

In an interview with The Telegraph, Michael expressed his belief that there may have been individuals who crossed the line, but in the past, the community would handle it themselves by spreading word and letting their reputation speak for them.

I had a conversation with some women because I had previously acted in some films that had a sexual theme, and now we laugh about the idea of an intimacy coordinator being there to guide us during those scenes.

A month after Sharon Stone, his fellow cast member in Basic Instincts, revealed the name of the producer who forced her to engage in sexual activities with an actor, Michael also spoke up and gave his opinion.

Additionally, she divulged the performer whom she was coerced into becoming more intimate with to enhance their chemistry on camera.

The performer had previously talked about the matter in her book that was published in 2021. However, she didn't reveal the names involved. But now, she has revealed that the producer was Robert Evans, the actor was not Alec Baldwin but his brother Billy, and the movie they were working on was Sliver, which was made in 1993.

In 2019, Robert passed away. He was known for producing films such as Chinatown and The Cotton Club. Additionally, he held a leadership position in production at Paramount for successful movies such as The Godfather, The Italian Job, True Grit, and The Great Gatsby.

After Sharon became a big star due to the success of the movie Basic Instinct the previous year, she starred in her next film Sliver.

During her appearance on Louis Theroux's podcast, she mentioned that the people in charge anticipated her to deliver another huge success, and they even allowed her to choose who to cast and gave her other permissions. However, when it was time for her to put her plan into action, they disclosed that the deal was solely for show and that she could not exercise her rights.

Michael recently shared his thoughts on the revelation made by Sharon Stone, his co-star from the movie Basic Instincts. Stone disclosed that producer Robert Evans tried to force her into having sex with her fellow actor Billy Baldwin during the making of the 1993 film Sliver.

After Sharon's confession aired on the Louis Theroux show, Billy retaliated against her through an online platform formerly known as Twitter.

Afterwards, they began to accuse me of their errors, and their recruitment of directors and cast was horribly flawed.

The lady claimed that Evans, who used to act but now works as a producer, asked her to come to his office while she was busy shooting. He then requested her to have sexual relations with the main actor, William Baldwin, who is one of four brothers in the acting industry and goes by the nickname Billy. Evans made this request outside the filming location.

Her account was: 'He summoned me to his workspace where the seating consisted of outdated, worn-out sofas from the seventies and eighties. Consequently, I found myself awkwardly seated on the ground instead of being on location where I belonged.'

He's rushing about wearing sunglasses and telling me about his affair with Ava Gardner. He advises me to sleep with Billy Baldwin as it would positively impact his performance.

We required Billy to improve in the film as that was the issue.

If I had hooked up with Billy, we could have had great on-screen chemistry. Sleeping with him might have salvaged the movie. The issue was that I was too uptight and not like a typical actress who would just sleep with him to fix things. In short, I was a prude.

Sharon was irritated when she heard him ask for Baldwin to play Zeke Hawkins in the movie because it seemed he had disregarded her previous recommendations for actors. She felt frustrated that the higher-ups in charge of the film assumed she could easily transition from being Michael Douglas' co-star in Basic Instinct to working alongside Baldwin.

She stated, "I wasn't obligated to engage in sexual activities with Michael Douglas. Michael was capable of performing his role on set, hitting his cues, delivering his lines, practicing, and being present. But now, unexpectedly, I'm in the line of work where I'm expected to engage in sexual relations with people."

After the podcast was made public, Billy retaliated against Sharon on X, formerly known as Twitter, by expressing: 'I don't understand why Sharon Stone is still mentioning me after all of these years?'

I wonder if she still likes me or if she's still upset from when I rejected her. I remember when I saw her and her friend Janice Dickinson on the plane after my screen test. Did she tell Janice that she was going to make me fall for her?

I possess a considerable amount of information about her that could leave her disoriented, but I have chosen to remain silent.

He carried on by saying, "The tale of how I pleaded with Bob Evans to let me choreograph the last intimate scene in the picture below is infamous. I wanted to avoid having to kiss Sharon, but thankfully, he allowed me to do so."

I'm thinking about writing a book exposing all the crazy, inappropriate and weird things Sharon did. It could be an entertaining read.

Janice denied what he said in a statement to DailyMail.com, saying she can't remember ever having that conversation. The statement was exclusive.
