Man City's Casparij banned for offensive gesture

The Football Association has suspended Kerstin Casparij, a Manchester City defender, from playing one game. This came after he made an act that others found offensive in the Manchester derby match that took place last month.

The 23-year-old Dutch footballer has been issued a fine of £1,634.61 as well.

During City's 3-1 victory at Etihad Stadium on March 23rd, Casparij acknowledged the support of Manchester United.

According to the FA, Kerstin Casparij acknowledged that her behavior during the 37th minute was inappropriate, disrespectful, and verbally harmful.

At the moment, Manchester City is leading the Women's Super League rankings with three points more than Chelsea, who has yet to play one more game.

The team led by Gareth Taylor will play their next match in the WSL against West Ham on April 21st.
