Partners have agreed to provide services covering estate and environmental enhancements, scheduled mechanical and engineering duties, and indoor refurbishments for L&Q occupants as part of 15-year agreements.

Amber Construction, Axis Europe, Breyer Group, Durkan, Equans, Foster, Kier Places, Morgan Sindall Property Services, United Living, and Wates are all construction companies.

The tasks will comprise of particular fire safety tasks within the residences that are supported by L&Q Living.

At first, the agreements will have a value of approximately £100 million annually, but as the scheme progresses, they will rise to roughly £300 million.

The Residents Services Board of L&Q, which is an official part of their governance system, has been responsible for supervising the preparation and evaluation of the initiative. Their responsibilities include providing guidance on the selection of service providers.

The Major Works Investment Programme maintained by L&Q is the biggest investment within the industry, which amounts to almost £3 billion. This huge sum will be put to use over the span of 15 years to enhance the safety, convenience, and environmental well-being of the houses that the residents reside in.

This means that all homes owned by L&Q will be kept up to the Decent Homes Standard.

As part of the plan, L&Q aims to ensure that all of its properties meet at least an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) C standard by 2028. To achieve this goal, the organisation has received a £27 million grant from the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund to retrofit homes.

The director in charge of Major Works at L&Q, Mark Newstead, expressed his happiness in announcing the participation of ten amazing partners in the future phase of their Major Works Investment Programme. All of these partners believe in providing excellent quality and making a positive contribution to the communities they work in, just like L&Q.

Overall, the program will result in the installation of approximately 48,000 updated kitchens and 42,000 updated bathrooms by L&Q. Additionally, various other enhancements will also be made to residents' homes.
