Chelsea have strongly denounced the 'totally inappropriate' verbal attacks directed towards Conor Gallagher after a video emerged, depicting the English footballer in the tunnel alongside a young mascot just before the Burnley match.

Gallagher has faced a great deal of criticism on social media recently because he unintentionally ignored a high-five from a child. As a result, many people have accused the young captain of being racist.

Even though the entire video shows Gallagher saying hello to his friend and walking out of the tunnel with him, Chelsea still managed to tie Burnley 2-2 at Stamford Bridge.

The London based club has responded with a statement full of annoyance to express their disagreement with the mistreatment of Gallagher. The statement read: 'Chelsea Football Club has become acquainted with a video clip that is currently being circulated on social media concerning our match against Burnley on Saturday. It is important to note that the clip has been misconstrued and taken out of context.'

The degree of mistreatment and slanderous remarks aimed at Conor Gallagher afterwards is entirely inappropriate.

Chelsea has expressed their strong disapproval towards the 'utterly intolerable' mistreatment of Conor Gallagher, as he was charged with 'racism' on his online social media platforms, following claims that he overlooked a black mascot.

On social media, a video went viral showing a young mascot attempting to shake hands with Gallagher. However, at first, the mascot's gesture was overlooked by Gallagher.

We take pride in being an all-inclusive and diverse club where individuals from different cultures, communities, and identities are warmly received.

When Gallagher was getting ready to take his team to Stamford Bridge, a young mascot extended his hand, hoping for a handshake.

Gallagher seemed to disregard him and instead wrapped his arm around a different mascot who was standing next to him in the tunnel. This mascot was also of a Caucasian background.

Despite a subsequent photograph depicting Gallagher embracing both mascots shortly after the initial footage, individuals have been bombarding his social media accounts with allegations that he holds discriminatory beliefs.

In a recent Instagram post where Gallagher was seen playing for England last week, several comments were made. Some users referred to Gallagher as 'the ruler of discrimination', while others strongly stated 'say no to racism' and 'black lives matter.'

During a press conference before the Manchester United match, Mauricio Pochettino, the coach of Chelsea, expressed his disappointment when asked about Gallagher. He stated that nobody would want to do something with such intentions to upset others.

When you're on the football field and fully concentrating on starting the game, it's possible that some negative incidents may occur. Some individuals will intentionally seek out ways to cause chaos and harm.

During the Premier League game at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, Gallagher led the Chelsea team as their captain.

Mauricio Pochettino also defended Gallagher during his speech on Wednesday.

Conor is an amazing child. He constantly shows concern for others and their well-being. It upsets me when others believe it's acceptable to mistreat others on social media.

It's incredibly simple to mistreat individuals, unfortunately. Not a single person truly believes that Conor's goal was to disregard a mascot. Let's be real.

The season has not been good for Chelsea, and this was evident once again during their match against Burnley over the weekend. The game ended in a 2-2 draw, with Burnley fighting against relegation. The draw was at Stamford Bridge, which is Chelsea's home stadium.

After the game, they found themselves ranking at the bottom of the Premier League table, occupying just the 12th spot. They will welcome United on Thursday evening.

The Clarets managed to respond two times to Cole Palmer's goals even though they had one player sent off after 40 minutes.
