During the Chelsea versus Burnley game at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, just before the game began, an incident took place in the tunnel. A video showed that the 24-year-old Chelsea player didn't notice that one of the mascots had raised its hand. The video quickly became popular and was shared widely.

The incident caused mistreatment directed at the English player, Gallagher. In response, Chelsea put out a statement stating that the negative remarks made towards Gallagher were wrongful and that the video was not shown with the proper context.

Chelsea released a statement acknowledging a viral video clip from the Burnley game on Saturday is being misrepresented after circulating social media.

It is absolutely unacceptable that Conor Gallagher has been subjected to further abuse and harmful comments.

We take great pride in being an all-encompassing club that celebrates diversity and welcomes individuals from every culture, community, and background.

'Abuse Is Never Acceptable'

Pochettino talked to the press before Chelsea's upcoming match against Manchester United in the Premier League and denied any claims that the player had deliberately acted. He also criticized the negative response online to the occurrence.

He expressed his strong dissatisfaction as nobody desires to carry out such an action with a similar motive.

He was very cautious about having an excessive number of videos, photographs, and pictures taken of him because he was afraid it would reveal that he didn't really know both mascots. When he was on the football field, there were many distractions that could take away from his focus on the game as he tried to ready himself and begin play.

In my opinion, some folks hold a desire to mistreat others. They constantly search for reasons to cause chaos and harm towards individuals they might know. Speaking for myself, I am familiar with Conor and the individuals associated with Chelsea. To my knowledge, their intentions are never to harm anyone. Conor is a remarkable young person who always shows concern for those around him.

It really frustrates me when individuals feel like they have the liberty to harass others on social platforms. Do you not think that we should put an end to this behavior? Sadly, it seems as though it has become effortless for people to lash out at others, while others simply brush it off like it never occurred.

We shouldn't be giving so much attention to those who create chaos and disrespect others. It's our collective responsibility to put an end to it. It's absurd to think that Conor's intention is to simply ignore a mascot. Let's all work towards being more respectful towards one another.

Afterward, it really saddens me because Conor is someone I'm familiar with, and he doesn't deserve to be mistreated.

It's unfair to mistreat anyone, but in his case, let's face it, based on what we know about him... I'm noticing a disturbing trend not only in the UK but globally. As a society, it's up to us to choose not to tolerate abusive behavior and to distance ourselves from those who perpetrate it. These individuals only serve to hinder our progress and wellbeing.

Certainly, the football game we participate in doesn't warrant attention to the individuals who attend. It's important for us to continue forward, and personally, I feel it's crucial to stand behind Conor and also support those who may often experience mistreatment.

This season, a player from Chelsea has been targeted with abuse on social media for the second time. The team's captain, Reece James, also faced unjust criticism earlier in the year for being injured.

In the past, Pochettino has discussed how harmful cyberbullying can be for athletes, and he has reiterated the need for immediate action to eliminate this issue within the sport.

In modern times, social media has become a necessity if you wish to interact with your supporters. The number of followers you have on various platforms such as Twitter, X, Instagram, and Facebook is often seen as a metric used to determine your worth.

The problem with these platforms is that they place a value on you in the eyes of society. This is concerning, as there are numerous issues in society that need to be addressed.

We have some responsibility too. We provide access to all sorts of documentaries for people to watch. However, what do people choose to watch? They tend to prefer content that involves conflict and confrontation, rather than positive or joyful topics. Instead of seeking out the good, they focus on the negative.

This is the reality of the society we live in and no one can be held accountable for it. It's important to acknowledge and accept this fact, but it's equally crucial to be mindful of our actions and how they can impact our reputation. We need to be cautious of actions that may give off the wrong impression and cause people to see us in an inaccurate light, even if we think we are deceiving them.

If I desire to gain popularity, I could alter the way I speak or engage in activities with your agreement, such as saying "Pochettino looks good, doesn't he?" However, when the day concludes and I shut this door, will I remain unchanged or conduct myself differently? While I am always cheerful here, I become the most unpleasant person in the world there.
