Blue Lights star Siân Brooke hints more character deaths could happen

Blue Lights

The highly praised show depicts the journey of Grace Ellis, a social worker who transitions into a probationary officer of the PSNI, alongside her colleagues Annie and Tommy. Together, they navigate the challenging and intricate world of policing in Belfast, facing dangerous gang members, inspecting cars for explosive devices, and intercepting covert operatives.

In the last episode, the cherished retired police officer named Gerry played by Richard Dormer was assassinated by the criminal Sully, who shot him repeatedly. This left Gerry's colleagues, especially his wife Sandra (played by Andi Osho), feeling deeply sorrowful.

Brooke expressed her worry that Grace might be the next victim. She and her co-stars quickly went over the second season scripts to see if they make it through. The actor from Sherlock admitted to RadioTimes.com that it's unsettling to think you could be the next one to go and there's no telling for sure.

Following the first season featuring Gerry, it's impossible to predict what will occur. I'd be exceedingly wealthy if I received a pound for every instance someone questioned, "Why did they eliminate Gerry?" and "Will Stevie and Grace [Martin McCann] develop a romantic relationship?"

"When the second season came out, we were all eagerly anticipating it, wondering if we would make it through. However, the outcome remains a mystery until you watch it for yourself!"

The character Gerry Cliff, portrayed by actor Richard Dormer, appears in the show Blue Lights produced by BBC, Gallagher Films, and Two Cities Television.

After alluding to a possible love interest between Grace and Stevie, should spectators anticipate anything beyond Grace endeavoring to replicate his preferred homemade goodies in Tupperware?

She stated that for the second series, they have made the choice to focus on their duties instead of their emotions. However, their level of achievement in doing so is still unknown and requires watching to find out.

According to Brooke, series 2 of the show will explore more deeply into the intricacies of the criminal world. In addition, Grace, Annie, and Tommy are no longer newcomers, as they have become knowledgeable and experienced first aid providers since series 1.

Brooke stated that they are the initial responders who have to perform the responsibilities of both law enforcement and guidance, including all the related tasks.

In my opinion, the writers have done an incredible job of expanding the world of the series and delving into the criminal underworld. This promises to be an exhilarating experience for the viewers as they watch how the storylines and characters intersect. The audience has grown attached to these characters and it will be interesting to see how they react to the new challenges presented in the criminal world.

The BBC's latest show, Blue Lights, features actors Martin McCann as Stevie Neil, Siân Brooke as Grace Ellis, Katherine Devlin as Annie Conlon, and Nathan Braniff as Tommy Foster, among others. The show is produced by Two Cities Television and directed by Todd Antony.

Declan Lawn and Adam Patterson brought Blue Lights to life, and the show has now been given the green light for a third and fourth season. Brooke emphasizes that the show was always intended to have an extended run, like Line of Duty.

Declan and Adam have consistently displayed enthusiasm and optimism towards the future potential of this project. The process has been very cooperative, with extensive discussions about the plot details and themes. Therefore, it will be intriguing to observe the direction in which it ultimately develops.

At the same time, Brooke sympathizes with those who have experienced the unfortunate event of having their character written off too soon. This hits close to home for her, as her character Queen Aemma Arryn in HBO's House of the Dragon met a violent end during childbirth in the very first episode.

In House of the Dragon, Siân Brooke portrays Queen Aemma Arryn. The photo features her in costume as the character, taken by photographer Ollie Upton for HBO.

Although Queen Aemma met a gruesome demise, rumors have been circulating that she may make a comeback as a vision or a ghost when the second season airs in June. Therefore, the question remains: will Brooke reappear?

She said: "Wow, you're going to put me in a difficult position, I am not authorized to disclose any information about it. But if I am allowed, I'm excited to share. The past two days were extremely challenging. The show's exceptional craft and quality are extraordinary."

On TV, it's not common to get a whole day to practice a birth scene. We spent the day working on the technical aspects, like figuring out how to make the blood flow through a container using a bucket and hose. I really enjoyed the experience and wish it had lasted longer.

At this time, it's confirmed that Brooke is set to come back for the fourth season of Apple TV's show Trying. Additionally, she'll be appearing in Supacell, a highly-anticipated new superhero story by Rapman, which will be available on Netflix.
