Alongside his role as Aethelhelm in the historical show The Last Kingdom, Schiller was recognized for his portrayal of Cornelius Penge in the Victoria series on ITV.

On Thursday, 4 April, the announcement was made by the agent of the celebrity.

The company Scott Marshall Partners, which managed Schiller's career for over 30 years, expressed their deep sorrow in a statement, emphasizing that they believe he passed away too soon. His family and loved ones are also stricken with grief.

He died unexpectedly and suddenly, and there is no information yet about what caused it.

He was a very skilled actor and had recently come back from Sydney, where he had been performing in The Lehman Trilogy. He was excited about the upcoming international tour stop in San Francisco.

Schiller, who was originally from London, had been an actor with professional credits since the beginning of the 1990s. He had acted in various television programs like Prime Suspect in 1992 and 1993, Ghosts in 1994, and a TV movie called RKO 281 in 1999.

During the 2000s, Schiller amassed a plethora of roles on British TV shows, ranging from dramas such as A Touch of Frost in 2000 and Judge John Deed and Silent Witness in 2007, to comedies like My Family in 2001.

In 2018, he landed a memorable part in the third installment of the popular historical drama show, The Last Kingdom. He portrayed the wealthy character Aethelhelm, a significant figure in Wessex with immense influence and authority.

Schiller gained recognition for portraying the character of Mr Penge, who was a royal household member, in the television series Victoria for three consecutive seasons starting from 2016 and ending in 2019.

During the month of January, Schiller acted as an offender named Drake Underwood in one of the BBC's crime investigation TV shows, Father Brown. The episode, which was named "The Father, The Son", was primarily about a poorly executed theft operation.

Schiller, who is recognized for his contributions in theater productions, took part in the performance of The White Factory, a play set during the Second World War, at Marylebone Theatre last year.

In other parts of the statement, Schiller's representative mentioned that he had a flourishing and diverse profession in all forms of media.

The representative stated: "We offer our sincerest sympathies to his relatives, who request for space during this extremely challenging period."
