At the age of 23, the performer appeared in her inaugural breakthrough performance as Rose Tyler, the partner of Eccleston's Doctor. Following numerous TV accolades, she subsequently came back to the show to feature alongside David Tennant, the 10th Doctor.

However, in the previous year, she made an appearance at a gathering for fans, where she was joined by Eccleson. Unfortunately, he expressed a unfavorable viewpoint about the show from 2005, referring to it as a "disorderly situation."

During that time, the initial installment was chaotic, and the fault couldn't be attributed to either myself or Billie. It was due to the individuals in charge of its creation," he stated. He disclosed that he would only agree to come back if the showrunner, Russell T Davies, was dismissed.

When interviewed by The Independent, Piper expressed that she had no knowledge of Eccleston's negative feelings towards the show.

She spoke about how she has come to realize that he was going through a difficult period. However, she isn't certain if she comprehended just how much distress he was experiencing during that time.

I was dealing with many personal matters - that's where my attention was. However, I still maintain strong relationships with those gentlemen and the entire crew involved in the project.

She confessed that she was a little overwhelmed by the glamour of her first appearance on the big screen, and did not pay much attention to any disagreements among the crew.

This was among my initial major acting gigs. I was filled with exhilaration and gratitude. I truly loved every single moment of it and couldn't believe that I was living my dream of working in this field. Moreover, I was collaborating with phenomenal talents, which includes Christopher Eccleston. Additionally, it was beyond surreal to be reviving a British classic.

I felt quite melancholic on hearing the news. While I was aware that he was facing difficulties, I assumed it was merely a matter of coordinating schedules and other intricacies that frequently pose challenges in our line of work.

Piper expressed her eagerness to go back to the Whoniverse without any hesitation.

She mentioned that she wouldn't want to return on a full-time basis but is interested in making a guest appearance once again.

Piper plays a role in the latest Netflix movie called Scoop. This film portrays the events leading up to the well-known "car crash" interview between Prince Andrew and BBC journalist Maitlis, who is portrayed by Gillian Anderson from The Crown.

In the movie, an actor from I Hate Suzie portrays the person responsible for booking interviews on Newsnight. This individual is also the writer of Scoops: Behind the Scenes of the BBC's Most Shocking Interviews, the book upon which the film is based.

When Piper was first offered the role, she was hesitant and unsure. However, as she delved deeper into the script, she came to the realization that there was a more significant narrative at stake.

She expressed her amazement towards the unnoticed women who were involved in the story. The character McAlister, who was portrayed by her, put in a lot of effort to convince Prince Andrew's team to participate in the interview.

Piper thinks that she was the cause of this incident, and it's a bit disheartening that nobody had much information about her.
