Billie Piper describes 'reckless' marriage with Chris Evans

Prior to her recent appearance on TV, Billie Piper disclosed details about her turbulent marriage to Chris Evans, describing it as reckless. She also revealed that she had smoked with The Spice Girls when she was only 15, and confessed to stealing items from the sets of Secret Diary of a Call Girl and Doctor Who.

Just recently, she made an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show where she disclosed that back when she was only 15 years old, The Spice Girls handed her cigarettes to smoke alongside them.

Billie shared that she holds onto items from the movie sets she has worked on. For instance, she owns a whip and undergarments from her role as a sex worker in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Additionally, she took the central console from the Tardis during her time on Doctor Who.

During a podcast episode of David Tennant Does a Podcast With..., the topic of conversation delved into the experience of being a teenage popstar and the challenges that came with it. The guest speaker went on to discuss the difficulties of managing fame at such a young age, as well as the unexpected marriage to a popular radio host, Chris Evans.

David took on the character of Doctor Who while Billie portrayed Rose Tyler.

He characterizes their relationship as something that the tabloids can't resist, as Billie and Chris would travel around the world having fun together, but Billie explained that her affections went beyond the lavish lifestyle.

In simpler terms, she shared that she spent three years partying hard with Chris Evans and had a lot of fun. It was a bit like being in college where you're young and carefree and learning a lot. She didn't want to downplay the fact that they also had a loving relationship during that time.

We weren't just partying and getting wasted, as our relationship was based on a strong foundation of care and affection.

This resulted in me ending my singing career suddenly and in an abrupt manner. I also became unresponsive to people when they attempted to contact me.

After relocating to LA for a period of five months, I began attending acting classes. Upon my return home, I secured an agent, pursued acting opportunities, and ultimately earned a role on Doctor Who.

Billie and Chris got together when Billie was 17 years old and Chris was 34. They decided to get married only five months later, in 2001, with a quick trip to Las Vegas. However, they were not able to keep their marriage going for more than three years and ended up separating.

During the podcast, Billie mentioned that she had to fend for herself at the young age of 13. By the time she turned 14, she had her own apartment and was cooking beans on toast for dinner while also going to work. Additionally, she discussed how she was managing on her own.

At the age of 15, she made history by becoming the youngest person to ever debut at number one on the UK Official Singles Chart. However, she explained that at the time she married Chris, she was looking for a way to escape the music industry.

Billie expressed how she is currently processing the events that occurred during her teenage years where she was featured on various posters.

Feeling extreme excitement at a young age is not common in nature. It can give you a false impression of authority over things, make you feel bewildered and disoriented. I wouldn't wish this upon my children.

If the events surrounding you are not causing you to break down, either something is amiss or you have had an idyllic upbringing.

When I was a young lass, I possessed a strong-willed nature and an abundance of drive. Despite my tender age, I was exceedingly ambitious - my folks longed for me to experience a life they themselves never had, and were captivated by the prospect as well.

Billie will be featured in Scoop on Netflix, an upcoming movie based on factual events that took place before Prince Andrew's 2019 BBC Newsnight appearance.
