Jeremy Clarkson left Billie Piper in stitches with brutal joke about her ex-husband Chris Evans

During an episode of Top Gear, Jeremy Clarkson made a joke about Billie Piper's ex-husband, Chris Evans, which left her laughing uncontrollably.

The famous singer and actor, who gained her popularity for portraying Rose Tyler in Doctor Who series produced by BBC, came across Evans for the first time in the year 2000, when she made an appearance on his show, TFI Friday.

Not long after, they began a romantic relationship and decided to tie the knot the next year with a wedding held in Las Vegas. At the time, Piper was only 18 years old and Evans was 35.

Piper and Evans ended their relationship in 2004 when Piper was 21. Their divorce was finalized in 2007, but they have reportedly maintained a positive friendship. Piper has referred to their marriage as both "supportive" and "filled with lots of alcohol."

During the time when Piper and her ex-husband were getting a divorce, she made an appearance on an episode of the show called Top Gear. While on the show, the host named Jeremy Clarkson made a joke about her former partner, and Piper could be seen laughing loudly at the joke.

While being interviewed, the presenter inquired, "Did Evans really attempt to lure you with a Ferrari?"

Piper answered saying, "That statement is correct."

Not long after their meeting, Evans surprised Piper with a luxurious Ferrari filled with a beautiful arrangement of roses.

Afterward, Clarkson inquired if the impressive action was successful.

"It was successful, yes. I tied the knot with him half a year afterward," she answered with a giggle, then explained that the vehicle had nothing to do with it.

Clarkson later joked, "And that's not because of his hair color, of course."

Piper was very firm about her preference for her ex-partner's red hair, expressing her fondness for it by saying, "I really admire redheads."

Clarkson made a humorous remark that made her burst into laughter by saying that the program does not permit individuals with red hair because they possess a distinct scent.

The duo proceeded to discuss Piper's fondness for vintage automobiles and her appearance on the renowned 'Star in a Reasonably-Priced Car' segment of the show.

Piper acknowledged the hurtful comment directed at her former partner, however, she expressed her affection for the brief and intense relationship she had with Evans during his short stint as the host of Top Gear in 2016.

Last year, she shared with The Guardian how much she enjoyed that period of her life and how it helped her gain a lot of knowledge. According to her, it was a valuable experience, especially considering the difficult situations she had faced before that time.

It was as though I had finally discovered someone who would always be loyal and supportive to me."

I suppose encountering an individual who had achieved a high level of notoriety for two decades was quite enriching.

"And also extremely intoxicated, something I yearned for. I indulged in many moments of enjoyment throughout that period."
