Viewers of Jerry Seinfeld's latest comedy offering, Unfrosted, have expressed their dissatisfaction over a surprising cameo which they consider to be "low-cost" and "upsetting."

The movie retells the story of the creation of Pop Tarts, a breakfast food popular in the United States, but in a fictional way. It takes place at Kellogg's during the 1960s.

During a certain part of the movie, Jon Hamm imitated his character from the celebrated television series Mad Men, which is the charming advertising executive Don Draper.

In Unfrosted, the character of Don's friend and boss Roger Sterling from Mad Men is once again portrayed by John Slattery.

Netflix kept the surprise guest appearances a secret before the movie's debut, but they later released the video clip on their official Twitter account.

Some people are unsure how to feel about the cameo. A reviewer named David Ehrlich expressed his strong negative reaction, saying that it made him yell in anger and did not have enough humor to justify its disregard for sacred things.

One individual expressed their dissatisfaction on X/Twitter by stating, "It is terrible how Mad Men is being devalued for a low-quality Seinfeld cash grab. It is quite disheartening."

"Oh my god, this is unbelievably dark," remarked another viewer. "After watching this, I'm feeling down."

Another person expressed their opinion by saying: "Oh no, it appears that we are now including cheap tactics of leveraging nostalgia from intellectual properties that are completely unrelated to the movie or its universe. This is extremely unpleasant."

The movie's production design was criticized by some people, as one person commented: "Mad Men had amazing hair, wardrobe, and art direction. But in this movie, it's noticeably poor."

Critics have given Unfrosted a poor review resulting in a low score of only 42% on Rotten Tomatoes.

In addition to Seinfeld, the movie includes many famous actors and actresses such as Melissa McCarthy, Bill Burr, Amy Schumer, Hugh Grant, James Marsden, Christian Slater, Peter Dinklage, and Fred Armisen.

Nevertheless, a few spectators posted tweets expressing their delight with the appearance, debating that it was the most excellent aspect of the movie.

The appearance of UNFROSTED in this context is surprisingly unpredictable, but those who would find it amusing may also find themselves quite angry. However, it should be noted that using the character for comic relief is not sacrilege, as evidenced by the fact that SNL has featured two entire sketches dedicated to it.

Elon Musk, the billionaire behind Tesla, was one of the many who found the scene amusing. Upon seeing Netflix's tweet, he reacted with a "crying laughing" emoji.

You can now watch Unfrosted on Netflix.
