Over 3,000 individuals have registered grievances on the Down Detector platform, reporting difficulties such as the incapability to access tweets, timelines that have gone missing, and disappearances of followers.

The exact reasons for the issues and their duration remain uncertain. The company hasn't provided any statements yet.

A person on Down Detector shared their thoughts about Twitter, saying: "I became a part of Twitter back in 2009, and ever since Elon Musk became involved, I've encountered more difficulties than all the previous years combined. It's truly unbelievable."

Numerous individuals have shared their experience of encountering the error message 'rate-limit exceeded' while browsing through their customized For You section, which typically showcases an uninterrupted stream of tailored content.

A person who was going through this situation expressed their frustration to Twitter, stating, "Hey Twitter, I am not constrained by any rate limits! Please resolve this issue immediately!"

Even individuals with the privilege of having access to the platform have voiced their concerns over the problems they are encountering.

And, as expected with social media disruptions, the memes are already pouring in rapidly.

The most recent problems arise following a significant service disruption on the platform in March, shortly after the company's latest workforce reduction.

When users landed on the website, they encountered a seemingly inviting page, giving an impression that they were not yet connected to anyone. The page prompted them to proceed by clicking, leading them to discover the first individuals to follow.

"Welcome to Twitter!" was the content of the message. "This is the ultimate platform to keep up with the ongoing events of your personal sphere. Begin by discovering individuals and subjects to follow instantly."

The app version of Twitter also displayed a message that said the same thing, accompanied by a button labeled "Let's get started." By clicking on this button, users were directed to a collection of recommended users.

However, there was no workaround for that primary notification, resulting in users being unable to view the timeline or any content shared by the individuals they already follow.

Further information continues to emerge regarding this ongoing news story....
