Mobbs-Smith Bracing For Tough Papa John's Semi V. Tring

Papa Johns

David Mobbs-Smith thinks that the upcoming game between Maids and Tring will be difficult. The two teams have played against each other before. The match is part of the Papa John’s Cup plate competition. It will be played on Saturday.

Two teams have made it to the knockout stages after finishing their pool matches. Maids will need to beat Tring to advance to the final on May 6th. The final will take place at Worcester's Sixways Stadium. Tring is a tough team to beat.

Maids and Tring both finished fifth in their leagues this season. They are now competing in an end-of-season competition. Both teams have a 100% record in this competition. Mobbs-Smith's team beat Tunbridge Wells 37-36 and London Welsh 28-15. Tring beat Oxford Harlequins 64-7 and Burton 13-10 to move forward.

On Saturday, something big will happen. Tring won't let go of their spot in the final without a fight. Their coach used to lead Maids, which makes it more exciting. Two years ago, they played against each other in the league. Maids won both games but they were close.

Mobbs-Smith said they had a good season and ended up similar to their team.

They did well in the qualifier games for the cup. They beat Oxford Harlequins and also won against Burton by 13-10. This win helped them qualify.

We played in the same league two seasons ago. The games were close. I looked at my notes. We won 27-18 at home and 22-27 at their place. It will be a close game this time too.

Havant go to the final of the main cup competition. They were the runners-up to Wimbledon in Maidenhead's Regional 1 South Central Division this season. Maids go for the division in the plate competition. This competition is for teams that finished 5-8 in their league.

Mobbs-Smith said that Havant, whom they played two excellent games against, have made it to the cup final. They managed to reach the final despite being in the same league as them. Their team is currently trying to make it to the plate final.

Almost all our team members are healthy. However, a few players are injured. This is not uncommon in sports. It happens pretty often.

Some players won't be there, but the team will mostly be the same as before. They'll try their best to be strong. It'll be hard since it's at their home stadium. They usually have lots of fans who cheer very loudly. We need to be ready for a challenge.

Their field isn't like ours. It's grass and has a slope. They're from the outskirts and have their own way of playing. The game is going to be difficult. We didn't choose to play them, it was just luck. Away games are always harder. They've been doing well lately. There's some rivalry between us.

The former coach of Maids, Bolton, is now part of their coaching staff. This could create some rivalry.

"They know us well, our style of play, our best players. They have valuable information about us."
