Sunderland sack head coach Beale after 12 games

Michael Beale

Michael Beale has been fired from two of his recent positions at Rangers and Sunderland.

Sunderland has fired their head coach, Michael Beale, after only 12 matches in charge. This decision comes following two consecutive losses in the Championship.

During his brief time at the helm, Beale suffered defeat in six games, among them a 3-0 loss at home in the FA Cup against Newcastle United, who are considered rivals.

Mike Dodds, an assistant, has been appointed as the temporary leader of the Black Cats until the conclusion of the season.

The Sunderland team has experienced some losses in their recent games against Huddersfield and Birmingham, which resulted in them dropping to the 10th position in the league standings.

The sports director of Sunderland AFC, Kristjaan Speakman, expressed his disappointment about Michael's departure on the club's website.

We have a strong aspiration to get better, but we recognize that we haven't achieved this yet. Therefore, we're accepting complete responsibility and believe that making quick and firm decisions is what's best for our club.

Michael has had a tough time lately, and we wish him all the best going forward.

Dodds was in charge of Sunderland after Mowbray left and before Beale arrived. During this time, he led the team to victory in two out of the three games he managed. These victories were against teams that were also contenders for promotion, West Bromwich Albion and Leeds.

Speakman also mentioned that their main priority now lies in the players' well-being. They will be rallying behind Mike Dodds in order to ensure that they attain the best possible outcome in the upcoming games.

We will keep our supporters informed as important news surfaces.

Beale has had a difficult time trying to make Sunderland supporters happy after they showed their disapproval when he was chosen for the job, even though the team is only four points away from the top six.

Beale's departure signifies that his previous two positions have concluded with dissatisfaction. He was let go by Rangers, a Scottish Premiership team, in October following 43 matches and a 10-month tenure as coach.

He had the briefest tenure as a full-time manager in Sunderland's past, managing one game less than Paolo di Canio's 13 from 2013.
