United capitalised on this error and managed to draw level with a dramatic goal from Rashford. Nunez did manage to assist one of Liverpool's goals through a quick pass and cross that led to Salah scoring, but he also had several opportunities to close out the game. Unfortunately, none of these chances were very clear-cut, and he was ultimately stopped by Onana. It's likely that this defeat will be especially irritating for him.

During the first half of the game, it could be said that the Colombian player was the top performer for Liverpool. He impressed the crowd with his exciting dribbling skills, which was very entertaining to watch. He even made a great play by navigating past many United defenders, which seemed to boost Liverpool's morale. However, the player's performance deteriorated later in the game. Had he been able to secure a victory for Liverpool in the second half, the team would have been in a better position, similar to Nunez's situation.

Harvey Elliott seemed like he could win the match when he made a significant contribution as a substitute, with his shot deflecting in off Antony. Cody Gakpo was not enough for Liverpool when he came in to replace Salah. Even though the Netherlands forward had enough room to strike, Liverpool's counter-attack was not working well, which resulted in a score of 3.
