After the release of nine-year-old Emily Hand from Hamas captivity, the Taoiseach (Prime Minister of Ireland) Leo Varadkar made a statement on Saturday.

Late on Saturday, 17 individuals were delivered, and Emily was one of them.

The leader of Ireland expressed immense happiness and a feeling of relief upon hearing of the release of the young girl who holds Irish and Israeli citizenship. He also stated that the return of the innocent child, who was previously lost, is a significant moment.

The Israeli authorities have deemed Mr. Varadkar's remarks to be highly offensive and have announced their intention to call Ms. McGuinness for a scolding.

During the Monday gathering, the ambassador handed over the complete declarations made by Irish Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister regarding Emily's release to the Israeli foreign ministry.

The Irish authorities expressed gratitude towards the individuals who aided in securing her release from captivity and demanded that all hostages currently being held by Hamas in Gaza are released without delay and without any conditions.

The statement went on to say that Ambassador McGuinness was surprised that the Israeli government had publicly criticized the Irish government's expressions of clear relief at Emily's release.

On the day of Sunday, Eli Cohen, Foreign Minister of Israel, expressed that the taoiseach ought to reassess their perspective of reality.

On the social media platform X, which was formerly known as Twitter, a person wrote that Emily Hand was not "lost."

A group of terrorists who are more dangerous than ISIS took her hostage and also killed her stepmother.

During an interview with Irish broadcaster RTÉ, Mr. Varadkar expressed that most individuals would comprehend the message he conveyed.

Another set of captives who were held in Gaza have been freed as a result of an agreement made between Hamas and Israel.

The military of Israel initiated an attack on Gaza when members of Hamas crossed the border on the 7th of October, resulting in the loss of life of 1,200 Israelis and the abduction of more than 200 individuals as captives.

According to the health ministry that is operated by Hamas, over 14,500 individuals have lost their lives in Gaza. This accounts for over a third of them being innocent children. This unfortunate statistic occurred due to Israel's response to the situation.

As per the agreement between Israel and Hamas for a brief ceasefire, a total of 50 captives will be set free within a span of four days. The ceasefire started on 24th November at 7 in the morning (5:00 Greenwich Mean Time) and will last for a limited time.

Hamas revealed that as part of the agreement, around 150 Palestinian women and teenagers will be set free from Israeli prisons. Moreover, the deal grants access to several trucks containing humanitarian aid, medical resources, and fuel for Gaza.
