Actor Jnr Pope who reportedly drowned resuscitated, alive – AGN President
Emeka Rollas, who is the leader of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has verified that Jnr Pope Odonwodo has regained consciousness following a reported boating incident.
Before, PREMIUM TIMES announced that Jnr Pope and four other actors allegedly died due to drowning after their boat flipped over in the Anam River while they were returning from filming a movie.
Sam Olatunji, who is a filmmaker, announced the death of the actor on his Instagram page. Additionally, Emma Onyemeziem, the Chairperson of the Actors Guild of Nigeria in Delta State, confirmed to Vanguard that the actor's body has been taken to the morgue.
On Wednesday night, Mr Rollas verified to this publication that the performer is getting medical attention in a hospital that has not been disclosed.
He exclaimed, "It's unbelievable! He stayed submerged in the water for more than two hours."
The President of AGN also verified on social media that the actor is still breathing.
In different words, he stated that if there is something that God cannot do, then it is not real. Furthermore, Junior Pope is still alive and is currently receiving medical care at a hospital.
Beforehand, the performer who is 39 years old posted a recording on his Instagram profile featuring himself, along with four companions, en route to the film set via boat.
In the caption he wrote, “Look at me, I’m so sad. We put ourselves in danger for your entertainment: we crossed the 9ja river yesterday without life jackets…. How foolish is that??”
His coworkers have turned to various social media sites to express gratitude towards God for bringing the performer back to life.
