Kelle Roos has confessed to thinking about disposing of his second-place medal from the Viaplay Cup Final. He is now determined to make up for it by performing well at Hampden.

The keeper, who played for the team that was beaten 1-0 by Rangers in December, admitted that the loss still hurts and the medal means very little to him.

Roos has shifted his attention to the upcoming Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic, with the aim of achieving a victorious comeback at the national stadium.

When questioned about the location of his second-place medal, the man from the Netherlands admitted: "I'm not entirely sure. To be truthful, I think my father may have it. He may have stowed it away somewhere safe for me. Initially, I contemplated getting rid of it, yet I realized that my father would have disapproved of such a gesture. He is presently residing in Holland."

At the age of 31, he's already experienced a Hampden victory before, namely this season's Viaplay Cup semi-final win over Hibs. Despite this, he understands that the thrill of playing at Hampden only comes with a win, as he remarked: "You only get to enjoy Hampden if you come out on top, otherwise it's not a very pleasant experience. It's pretty straightforward."

He further stated that he intends to be present at the location with a goal to obtain a favorable outcome. He expressed excitement at the prospect of achieving this feat, considering it would be a remarkable day if they succeed.

The Dons squad experienced a new situation when they narrowly lost to Rangers in the Viaplay Cup Final earlier this year. Roos, the goalkeeper of the team, thinks that the experience will help them in the future. Roos mentioned that some of the players in the young squad had never been in such a situation before. Such things help players learn and understand what works best for them in big stages, allowing them to perform well. The Daily Record reported this information.

He stressed the significance of having a consistent routine when preparing for matches like these. He stated, "To me, this means sticking to my normal regimen of proper preparation, adequate sleep, and healthy nutrition. These are habits that I like to incorporate into my daily life as much as possible."

Roos confidently announced that he is fully prepared for the upcoming game and has taken a thorough approach in his preparation. He stated that his confidence stems from knowing that he has done everything possible to be ready. Furthermore, he believes that the team's previous experience in similar situations will be beneficial and increase their chances of achieving their desired outcome.

Although Celtic are considered the team more likely to win in the upcoming match, Aberdeen is feeling encouraged by their recent tie at Pittodrie where they played under Peter Leven's new leadership. Roos, who has managed to prevent the opposition from scoring twice in the last few matches, knows it won't be easy, stating, "I believe we made it difficult for them."

He remembered the earlier meeting with Celtic and stated that in the first half, they dominated the game, whereas in the second half, they improved significantly. They created numerous issues for the opposition. From what he recollected, he wanted to secure more than just one point from the match.

Roos provided an impartial view stating, "That's our perspective, but they could see it differently and focus on the fact they had a chance to win in the first half. I don't want that to influence me too much. What's important is that I believed we could achieve something and that gives us momentum for Saturday."

Roos has shared his positive outlook on Aberdeen's destiny following the hiring of Jimmy Thelin as their recent head coach. He mentioned, "It's incredibly satisfying to be updated on our progress, not just for the hardworking staff, but also for the overall advancement we're making."

He stated, "I am looking forward to meeting him. He plans to complete the season with Elfsborg and after that, we will discuss his interests. These are thrilling times."

In Roos' personal life, there is an exciting development to share. He and his partner, who is also a player on the Aberdeen Women's team, have recently welcomed their second child into the family. Congratulations to the happy couple!

He smiled broadly and happily stated: "I have become the father of another young boy. My spouse and one child are both in good health, so there's nothing else one could desire."

Currently, Roos has his sights set on obtaining a Scottish Cup victory medal in order to create memorable experiences with his expanding family.
