On Friday, the News at Ten programme was presented by Omaar, who holds the position of ITV News International Affairs Editor. While reading the news bulletins during the programme, he seemed to experience difficulty, garnering attention and concern from viewers online.

A representative from ITV News acknowledged the worries of the audience regarding the condition of Rageh Omaar.

Rageh fell ill during his stint as the News at Ten host on Friday and is presently undergoing medical attention.

It's uncertain what occurred with the 56-year-old individual named Omaar while the broadcast was taking place.

ITV cancelled the program from its scheduled repeat broadcasts on ITV+1 and informed viewers that the +1 service was temporarily inaccessible.

As the International Affairs Editor, Omaar is in charge of reporting on important news events occurring worldwide. Additionally, he is also the host for ITV's current affairs show called On Assignment.

Throughout his professional life, he also served as a high-ranking foreign correspondent for the BBC, gaining significant recognition during the invasion of Iraq in 2003.
