Crystal Palace is rejoicing in their victory over Manchester United, having won both games against them in the league. Michael Olise is receiving credit for his exceptional performance, scoring two goals that contributed to the Eagles' 4-0 triumph.

However, there is another athlete generating buzz following the match - Adam Wharton.

On February 1 of this year, a 20-year-old joined Palace from Blackburn, who play in the Championship, for a fee of £18m. Additional payments totaling £22m were included as part of the deal.

The recent addition to the Palace team, who was signed on transfer deadline day, had a challenging beginning during his debut game. He made an appearance as a substitute in the match against Brighton, but unfortunately lost possession of the ball. As a result of that turnover, the Seagulls were able to increase their lead with three additional goals.

Ever since that particular game, Wharton's performance has improved significantly, and he has gone on to feature in the starting lineup for the last 13 matches. He also managed to contribute with two assists and play a crucial role in implementing Oliver Glasner's newly adopted 3-4-3 formation.

In March, he played his first game for the England Under-21 team. Before that, he was invited to play with the England Under-20s. There is now speculation about the possibility of Wharton joining Gareth Southgate's senior team for the Euros in Germany.

Wharton performed exceptionally well in the victory against United. He faced midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, who played his first game for the senior Three Lions team last March. Mainoo's presence on the field created an opportunity for Wharton to demonstrate his skills, leading to his inclusion in the Under-21s team.

On Monday night, Southgate showed up at Selhurst Park. This has led to some people speculating that he may unexpectedly join the Euro 2024 team when the roster of 26 players is revealed on May 21st.

Glasner expressed his admiration for how promptly he has adapted to Premier League football and its competitive nature. He made these remarks in anticipation of the upcoming Manchester United match.

The way he makes decisions, his preparation beforehand, and the quick and efficient solutions he comes up with are remarkable.

We must remain composed as well. I consistently desire the utmost prosperity for my players; the more triumphs and international matches they participate in, the more advantageous it is, as all players aspire to represent their respective homeland.

I am uncertain if this is the appropriate time to discuss the [senior England team for the] Euros, but I firmly believe that he will have a brilliant career due to his exceptional football skills and amiable personality.

Wharton has garnered the attention of several top-tier football teams in the Premier League. People within the club believe that he may turn out to be the greatest acquisition that Palace has ever made from the Championship.

Wow, that's quite an endorsement considering how expensive it is to purchase players like Eberechi Eze and Olise, who also came from the second league to join Palace, with a minimum price tag of £60m.

The midfielder Wharton has an amazing ability to spot opportunities for passing. It is believed that his confident forward passing is helping both Olise and Eze perform exceptionally well. They are able to receive the ball faster and in more threatening positions.

The Palace team has managed to not lose any of their last five games and are now looking forward to next season. Other clubs may be interested in signing Eze and Olise during the summer, so the Palace team may have to put in extra effort to keep them. Wharton might also receive offers sooner than the team initially anticipated.
