England

After working for the Homes England and its previous establishments for 32 years, Jackie Jacob, the Director of Affordable Housing Grants, will be retiring in December.

Jackie has dedicated her career to enhance the availability of low-cost houses all over England. She has assisted local government, housing associations, and the housing industry as a whole, including working with the regulator during the late 1990s. Jackie's efforts have been tireless.

Her contribution was crucial in providing hundreds of thousands of secure, dependable homes for those who were previously living in uncertain or difficult housing situations.

In the past 15 years, Jackie has been in charge of managing more than £20 billion in grant funds, which has resulted in the construction of thousands of affordable homes annually. In fact, since the start of 2020, over 90,000 homes have been built under her leadership.

Peter Denton, the CEO of Homes England, stated:

Jackie's unmatched fervor and commitment to the field have produced a tremendous effect on numerous individuals and families. Throughout numerous years, I have witnessed her expertise in transforming policies and plans into actual results, achieving social equity by creating additional residences for individuals in areas with the greatest demand.

I feel sorrowful about her departure, but I hope that she enjoys her retirement that she deserves. It's amazing how her attitude influences those around her, and she's leaving behind a fantastic group who are just as devoted as her. We've already started our search for the ideal individual to fill Jackie's shoes- one of the most significant employment positions in the housing field.

I have had a very satisfying and fulfilling career in the field of affordable housing and after spending 32 long years at Homes England, I am now officially retiring. It gives me immense pleasure to state that I am very pleased with the progress that Homes England has made during my tenure, and I am excited to witness its continued progress in the coming years.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to the team for their tireless efforts in equipping our partners with the necessary resources to provide reasonable housing for those in need, and I am confident that their exceptional work will persist. It has been an honor and a privilege collaborating with a diverse group of skilled individuals in the industry.

At our agency, we believe that providing accessible and top-notch living spaces in thoughtfully planned neighborhoods can greatly enhance people's lives. Achieving this goal involves utilizing our skills, resources, property, funds, and sway to generate investments for communities and construct more superior homes.
