England

The under-21 program of England is a part of our Elite Development Program (EDP), which is funded by UK Sport.

At levels below Senior, Great Britain does not partake in organized competitions. Therefore, the England under 21 program is integrated into the EDP, as England has been assigned as the designated country in the GB Framework Agreement.

In early 2023, our team evaluated the women's program to determine our strengths and areas for improvement. We wanted to utilize our resources more efficiently to assist sub-senior female players. To make the best decision, we talked to numerous coaches, players, and leaders from all home nations.

After reviewing the matter, it was decided that the way the women's program is delivered will change. A separate model will be used for GB and England. However, the integrated model for GB and England will continue for the men's program.

Check out this video to learn more about why the change is happening and how it will affect female players from England.
