Liverpool is currently in the process of searching for a new manager to replace Jurgen Klopp, and two top contenders have emerged. Xabi Alonso from Bayer Leverkusen and Ruben Amorim from Sporting Lisbon are the front runners for the position.

Although Liverpool FC is only beginning their search, chief executive Billy Hogan has been refining numerous aspects.

Many people believe that Alonso is the top pick to be hired due to his incredible performance with Leverkusen this season. He has had plenty of time and room to consider his next move while striving to win the club's first title. Now, almost every big club in Europe is keen on the Basque manager and there will surely be several offers for him this summer. With Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Barcelona all in need of a manager, and the possibility of Manchester United and Real Madrid in the same boat, the competition for his signature will be fierce.

Ruben Amorim, a coach from Portugal, is gaining a lot of attention and praise throughout Europe for his skills and abilities.

If Alonso chooses to leave, Amorim is currently considered the favorite choice. The Portuguese coach has done an equally impressive job in bringing Sporting back to their former glory after decades of being dominated by Benfica and Porto. Currently, Amorim appears to be a more likely option compared to Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi. Although Amorim is attracting interest from big clubs, it is not as much as Alonso.

Liverpool is currently on the hunt for a sports director and is projected to modify its structure after Klopp's departure. The role of the manager may be reduced, and there will be more control given to the technical team.

The circumstances in other prominent clubs have unexpectedly sped up the competition. However, Liverpool is resolute in being prompt when required and choosing the most suitable decision for their team.
