Liverpool is currently in the process of searching for a new manager to replace Jurgen Klopp, and two top contenders have emerged. Xabi Alonso from Bayer Leverkusen and Ruben Amorim from Sporting Lisbon are the front runners for the position.
Although Liverpool FC is only beginning their search, chief executive Billy Hogan has been refining numerous aspects.
Many people believe that Alonso is the top pick to be hired due to his incredible performance with Leverkusen this season. He has had plenty of time and room to consider his next move while striving to win the club's first title. Now, almost every big club in Europe is keen on the Basque manager and there will surely be several offers for him this summer. With Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Barcelona all in need of a manager, and the possibility of Manchester United and Real Madrid in the same boat, the competition for his signature will be fierce.

If Alonso chooses to leave, Amorim is currently considered the favorite choice. Currently, Amorim appears to be a more likely option compared to Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi. Although Amorim is attracting interest from big clubs, it is not as much as Alonso.
