Mowatt shone brightly at Portsmouth yesterday, scoring two incredible goals for Carlos Corberan’s team, which propelled them to the forefront of the Championship standings.

The Baggies continue their undefeated streak, having secured their fourth victory out of five matches this season, while 2,000 traveling fans celebrated their impressive ranking in Hampshire.

Mowatt's brilliant two goals, each a stunning shot into the top corners, along with Josh Maja's rapid opener just 54 seconds in, ensured a decisive win.

Mowatt, 29, is feeling optimistic about the season. When questioned about Albion's potential to accomplish something extraordinary this year, he replied, “Absolutely, we believe we can. It really comes down to maintaining consistency and focusing on each game individually.”
