Goalless in the FA Cup tie at Hillsborough. Not a classic by any stretch.

Palmer dashes into the box and tries to pick out Paterson but Fleetwood manage to clear for a corner.

Wednesday have a free-kick out on the left. Johnson whips in but it's too deep and Fleetwood look to counter before it's stubbed out. Sums up this drab first half.

Wilks does well to hold off his man and wiggles away in the box before flashing the ball across. Sadly, Fleetwood manage to hack it away safe.

Hunt goes for goal from outside the box but it flies wide of goal. Sustained pressure by the hosts.

Vaulks leathers the ball into the advertising board and earns a caution following a free-kick decision that didn't go the Owls' way.

Just over half an hour in and it's not been great but better than last week... just about.

Fleetwood happy with this you'd suspect.

Iorfa backtracks and heads the ball away from danger from underneath his own crossbar. Wednesday scramble it away and eventually win a free-kick.

Set-piece came to nothing for the Owls.

Rooney, who is making absolutely no friends here today, chops down Windass right on the edge of the box to the left. Free-kick and Rooney is booked.

Wilks turns on the gas and beats his man before cutting inside. His effort is deflected behind for a corner. Adenian then nods over from the set-piece.

Hunt clips another cross in and Fleetwood clear for a corner with Johnson lurking at the back-post. From the resulting corner Johnson's whipped cross is claimed by the visiting stopper.

The first attempt on target by either side as Hunt's centre sees Wilks meet it only for the forward to plant a header wide.

After a short period of treatment Rooney is back on and play is underway again.

Shaun Rooney appears to be clipped by Johnson. The Fleetwood defender has little sympathy from the home crowd after his antics on Boxing Day.

Not too much in these opening five minutes or so.

Windass and Paterson collide on halfway. Looked a nasty one.

Looks like the same formation as last week with Paterson and Wilks up top with Windass in the number 10 role.

Fleetwood kick us off, towards the Kop.

Just the South and North are open today, and Fleetwood fans are situated on the Leppings Lane lower so the attendance will be much smaller this afternoon than a normal league game.

Remember if today's game finishes level after 90 minutes, it will be a replay - and a fourth meeting between the pair in over a month.

The Covid-affected seasons in recent years meant replays were scrapped but they are very much back on the menu.

I'm expecting a different game. Why do I say that? Because this will be the third time we have played each other inside just a few weeks so both teams had had a really good look at each other in terms of structure, style of play and personnel and if you look at the two previous games, at their place and here last week, you'd be splitting hairs and moments of brilliance have won us both games.

The focus is on building on that momentum.
