According to reports, Real Madrid and Alphonso Davies, who currently plays for Bayern Munich as a defender, have come to a verbal understanding.

According to The Athletic, Real Madrid are keen to acquire the services of a left-back in the upcoming summer transfer window or in the year 2025.

Davies is currently under contract with Bayern until 2025, but Real Madrid has requested that he not renew it as discussions between the two clubs have started.

The head talent scout for Real Madrid, Juni Calafat, along with the director general Jose Angel Sanchez, have communicated with Davies and the people who represent him.

Over the past few weeks, various gatherings have occurred, with one happening face-to-face at the beginning of this month in Madrid.

Real Madrid and Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies have reportedly come to an oral understanding.

Carlo Ancelotti's team is planning to acquire Davies during the upcoming summer or in the year 2025.

Ferland Mendy has been playing as a left back for Real Madrid since 2019 and is presently the team's top pick for that position.

Nonetheless, there's a chance that Canadian player, Davies, may replace the current player in that position. It's worth noting that Davies has also played as a left wing back before.

In 2018, Davies became a member of Bayern and since then, he has participated in 180 games for the team. Additionally, during his time playing for the club, he has managed to score nine goals.

Throughout his tenure with the Bavarian powerhouses, Davies emerged victorious in the Champions League, bagging five Bundesliga crowns, plus the DFB-Pokal and the Club World Cup.

At the moment, Real Madrid is at the top of LaLiga and has a considerable eight-point advantage over Barcelona.

Real Madrid is getting ready for Kylian Mbappe's much-awaited arrival this summer. The French captain has agreed to take an £8.5 million reduction in wages.

Even though he won't receive the highest salary, Mbappe will be given a substantial amount in the form of a signing bonus, which reportedly exceeds 100 million euros (equivalent to £85.6 million). Additionally, he'll get to retain 80% of the profits from any new business partnerships he enters into after joining Real Madrid.

This is different from the usual 50-50 sharing policy that the club typically applies to new players.

Davies is expected to finish his contract with Bayern in 2025. However, Real Madrid is highly interested in preventing him from renewing his contract.

In the upcoming summer transfer window, Kylian Mbappe has reportedly consented to accepting a significant reduction in his pay in order to sign with Real Madrid.

The PSG player who is 25 years old is expected to experience a decrease in his yearly income when he transitions to Santiago Bernabeu.

It is anticipated that Mbappe will sport the number 10 jersey formerly worn by Luka Modric in the upcoming season since the Croatian veteran who is 38 years old has not been provided with a fresh contract.

The club in Madrid has finally succeeded in acquiring Mbappe, which marks the end of their prolonged attempt to sign the French footballer who was also part of the World Cup-winning team.

Moving from Paris to Madrid has been warmly received by the people in the Spanish capital. They see it as the missing part of the jigsaw puzzle that will enable Ancelotti to guide a squad that can rule the European football domain for years to come.
