Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid football team, is in trouble as he has been accused of committing tax fraud in Spain. The alleged crime could lead to him being imprisoned for almost five years.

The state prosecutors of Spain claim that the Italian trainer utilized a convoluted network of shell companies to conceal a portion of his earnings when he worked at the LaLiga club about ten years ago.

The ex-coach of Chelsea and Everton is being charged with two instances of tax fraud, which can lead to imprisonment for a maximum of four years and nine months.

The coach is being accused of committing a fraud worth €1 million (approximately £855,000) in the years 2014 and 2015.

According to the lawyers, Ancelotti allegedly failed to report his earnings from image rights while only declaring his income from Real Madrid during a specific timeframe.

He is being accused of setting up shell companies as a way to conceal his additional income.

Sky News has reported that some burglars who were wearing masks managed to steal a safe from the home of football coach Ancelotti. In other news, retired footballer Gascoigne has admitted to being a 'depressed alcoholic', and former Barcelona footballer Dani Alves has been given a four and a half year prison sentence.

At the age of 64, Ancelotti occupied the position of coach at Real Madrid twice. His first stint was from 2013 to 2015, and he recently rejoined the club in 2021.

He's a highly accomplished football coach who's tasted victory in each of Europe's five major leagues. He's also elevated four teams to Champions League success, leading AC Milan and Real Madrid to two victories apiece.

Another achievement that Ancelotti had was winning the Premier League when he coached Chelsea back in 2010.

Prior to becoming a manager, he had a triumphant run as a player with two European Cup victories as a midfielder for AC Milan, and also representing Italy in 26 matches.
