'They had luck in good run' - Naismith on Rangers

Naismith (on the right) is confident that his team can compete with Clement's Rangers.

The manager of Heart of Midlothian, Steven Naismith, commented that Rangers have had some fortunate circumstances during their recent successful matches and that he expected them to struggle at some point.

On Sunday, the team previously played for by Naismith will go up against his current team in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup. The old club has only managed to win once in their last five games.

"I'm taken aback - caught off guard, but I'm uncertain," expressed Naismith.

Throughout the years, there have been several athletes who have been part of various competitions, yet they were not able to attain any championship titles.

He said: "Based on my personal encounters, the club and the environment can be challenging. However, as a player, winning trophies gives you an incredible feeling. The challenging part is actually achieving it."

Our main priority is that. We have made significant progress this year, and we are confident in our abilities as a team. We believe we have a chance to compete for the cup.

The ex-Scottish forward cited the thrilling last-minute comeback at Ibrox on October 29th as an instance of Rangers' fortunes turning around after Philippe Clement took over.

According to Naismith, Rangers' decline in performance has been ongoing. He also notes that when certain players are absent, Clement's approach is negatively affected.

Naismith stated that he believes the recent success of his team was not a sudden occurrence. In March, his team won against Livingston and St Mirren, which helped them break the streak of poor performance.

We were leading at the 90-minute mark, but unfortunately lost 2-1. Our performance up until then was impressive as we created many difficulties for the opposition.

In my opinion, they have also benefited from fortunate circumstances throughout their recent string of matches. Take, for example, that particular game and a few others.

The team has a distinct playing style, but like any other team, if the players are not a good fit, the game may turn out differently.

In the end, one of the teams has a chance to reach the final round. Currently, we have an advantageous position. Our previous two outcomes have been positive, and our confidence is high as we approach the next game.

Naismith anticipates selecting the identical team he had in the previous weekend. Sadly, Calem Nieuwenhof is still recuperating, and Craig Halkett and Liam Boyce will be absent from the roster once more.
