Omaze and GOSH Charity have teamed up for a second time! To kick off their partnership, they're launching their first Million Pound House Draw, which is a stunning five-bedroom retreat located in the picturesque countryside of Cotswolds. This luxurious property is valued at over £3million and the draw is open for entries starting today, January 18th.

Omaze has the objective of collecting over £10 million to aid GOSH Charity to construct a top-notch Children's Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital. This campaign is the most significant fundraising initiative ever undertaken by the charity, and it is currently sitting at the midway stage.

The Children's Cancer Centre is getting a makeover with brand-new rooms for patients to stay in, top-notch intensive care units to care for critical patients, modern operating theatres to do surgeries, and a day care centre specific to cancer treatment. This will bring the medical teams closer together in one location. The hospital is also introducing additional services like a hospital school and outdoor spaces, including a roof garden, so kids can feel like kids even during their treatment.

The project has a Founder Partner called Omaze, which has a new way of accepting donations. With this new model, GOSH Charity will be able to get more money as Omaze's guaranteed minimum donation will go up from £100k to £1 million for each house draw.

According to Liz Tait, who holds the position of Director of Fundraising at GOSH Charity, commented that:

In the United Kingdom, cancer is the most common cause of death for children between the ages of one and fourteen, causing five children to die from the disease every week. The Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is currently treating the most children with cancer in the country, and has a history of leading innovations in medical treatment. However, the current facilities at the hospital are insufficient to keep up with the pace of these advancements, and a new facility is needed to continue delivering ground-breaking therapies.

We are excited to join forces with Omaze once more to gather funds that would aid in the construction of the upcoming Children's Cancer Centre at GOSH. Our collaboration could make it possible to build the center and ultimately overcome childhood cancer.

GOSH Charity collaborated with Omaze for the first time in 2021 and managed to gather £500k for the hospital's pressing requirements.

At Omaze, the Chief International Officer James Oakes expressed his thoughts by stating:

We're thrilled to announce our collaboration with GOSH Charity for our most recent house raffle. Moreover, to support the development of the new Children's Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital, our company pledged £10 million. We are offering a lovely property in the Cotswolds and £100,000 in cash as prizes. This fantastic opportunity provides the winners a lifetime of living without ever paying rent or mortgage, while supporting charities and enhancing their reach to a whole new audience.

"We're immensely happy that the Omaze community has managed to gather £28 million for charitable organizations throughout the UK."

The entry period for the Omaze Million Pound House Draw in Cotswolds ends on Sunday, February 25 for online participants and Tuesday, February 27, 2024 for those who submit their entries by mail.
