Thierry Henry, the head coach of France, has released his preliminary squad of 25 players for the Olympic games slated to take place in Paris this summer. Notably, Kylian Mbappé's name was not mentioned in the list.

A 25-year-old individual, who is anticipated to sign with Real Madrid after their contract at Paris Saint-Germain runs out, shared on March 22 that they have high hopes of participating in the upcoming Games.

During a press conference on Monday, Henry put forward the idea that Mbappé was prohibited from participating in the Olympics that took place in his residence due to his club's rules.

According to Henry, Real Madrid were very clear about their stance on the Olympics.

I haven't faced this many refusals since my university days. I haven't even had a chance to discuss the propositions. You make an attempt, they turn you down, and you depart.

In the list of players, Henry added the Crystal Palace pair of Michael Olise and Jean-Philippe Mateta. He also included Mathys Tel of Bayern Munich and Warren Zaïre-Emery, an 18-year-old midfielder from PSG. The squad appears to be quite strong with these additions.

Khéphren Thuram, who is the offspring of Lilian, a former soccer champion in France and sibling of Marcus, who plays as a forward for Inter Milan, was also included in the list.

The famous footballer from Arsenal also added Alexandre Lacazette, who was a part of the club for five years, and the well-regarded Lille defender named Leny Yoro to the group of players. The list will eventually be reduced to only 18 individuals before the competition.

During the contest, all teams must consist entirely of members who were born on or after January 1st, 2001, and are 23 years old or younger. Nonetheless, three players who were born prior to that date are allowed to participate as well.
