After much speculation, Kylian Mbappe has officially announced via social media that he will be departing Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season. This news did not come as a surprise to many in the world of football, as it had been widely rumored for some time.

The young man of 25 years old is anticipated to sign up with Real Madrid, the football club he admired since he was a kid, and has been connected with for quite some time. He will boost a team that is already quite powerful, with players like Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, and Toni Kroos, and will shortly include the amazing teenage talent from Brazil, Endrick.

During a period of seven years playing for PSG, Kylian Mbappe transferred from Monaco at the young age of 18 and won six league titles. Throughout his time with the team, he managed to score a total of 287 goals in 371 games. However, despite coming very close to doing so, he was never able to seize the Champions League trophy. In the year 2020, he experienced the disappointment of losing in the final to Bayern Munich.

Mbappe made an announcement that he will be leaving Paris Saint-Germain as his contract will not be extended. This will be his last year with the team and the end of his journey with them is fast approaching. He always promised to speak up about this when the time comes and that time has come now.

On Sunday, I will be participating in my closing match at the Parc des Princes. It is an experience filled with emotions, as I have been fortunate enough to be a member of the largest French football club for many years. This club is one of the greatest in the world, and it is thanks to this incredible team that I am where I am today. This club introduced me to my first-ever club experience, which was loaded with pressure and expectations as a footballer, allowing me to grow tremendously. I was able to play alongside some of the best footballers in history, meet many wonderful people, and mature as an individual, honing my skills while embracing both my accomplishments and failures.

When Mbappe moves to Madrid, it will be the first time he plays for a team outside of his home country.

He expressed his surprise at how hard it was to depart from his home country and said that despite being familiar with Ligue 1, he felt the need for a fresh challenge after a long period of seven years. It is a tough decision and he feels obliged to show his gratitude to the fans who have supported him throughout his career.

Although I may not be the type of player who shows a lot of emotion, I want you to know that I have always appreciated the support you have given me during my seven years with this team. While I may have had some difficult moments, I have never wanted to deceive anyone. My goal has always been to make a positive impact on the field. PSG is a club that elicits a lot of attention from fans - some love it, some don't. Personally, I chose to love it and have never regretted joining this prestigious team. The memories and experiences I have had here will stay with me for my entire life.

Mbappe is set to become a member of Real Madrid without any transfer fee. He will depart his current club PSG after his contract comes to an end on 30 June. Mbappe's move to Real Madrid will make him the second-highest paid player in history, following Neymar, with his initial loan move from Monaco to PSG coming with a £165.7m fee.

PSG, the team that has already won the French title, will have a match against Toulouse on Sunday. They will then play away games against Nice and Metz next week to conclude the league season. Mbappe, who plays for PSG, will have his final game against Lyon in the French Cup Final on May 25th.
