La Liga

Real Sociedad has confirmed that left-back Aihen Munoz will be unable to play for the remainder of the season following a torn cruciate ligament injury sustained in the team's 1-0 victory over Celta Vigo on Saturday evening.

During the 39th minute of the match, the defender was required to exit the field. The examinations conducted on Sunday affirmed that he won't be able to participate in any game until August, at the very least.

The club issued a statement regarding the health of their player Aihen Muñoz. According to the statement, Aihen Muñoz has suffered an injury in his left knee due to a tear in his anterior cruciate ligament. The upcoming days will be dedicated to the surgery of the player. The club expressed their support towards their player and said that he can overcome the upcoming obstacle with hard work, commitment, and pride. Additionally, the club assured their player that they will be there for him. Finally, the statement ended with a message of Stay strong, Aihen!

Kieran Tierney is now the only left-back option for Real Sociedad due to an injury. This is problematic as they are currently participating in the Copa del Rey, the UEFA Champions League, and La Liga. Therefore, the team from San Sebastian may need to find a new left-back before the transfer market closes at the end of the month.

Real Sociedad won't have Takefusa Kubo or Hamari Traore for the Asian and African Cups. At the same time, they won't have Carlos Fernandez, Alvaro Odriozola, Ander Barrenetxea or Martin Zubimendi for their Copa del Rey quarterfinal match against Celta on Tuesday night. This match will also be played away.
