ITV

ITV has just released the preview for their upcoming comedy show called Piglets.

The series consists of six episodes and takes place in a fictional police academy. It was created by Monicker Pictures, the same team responsible for producing Smack The Pony and Green Wing.

The series will be available all at once on ITVX and will also be shown once a week on ITV1 during primetime.

The blog section focuses on a group of six new police recruits and the small group of staff members responsible for training them. The recruits come from diverse backgrounds and personalities, making the staff's job challenging as they try to mold them into competent officers.

At the forefront of the show are Sarah Parish and Mark Heap playing the roles of tough Superintendent Julie Spry and clueless Superintendent Bob Weekes. Their task is to supervise the training of the upcoming group of new officers.

The new team members are Steph, Leggo, Geeta, Afia, Dev, and Paul. Steph is played by Callie Cooke, Leggo by Sam Pote, Geeta by Sukh Kaur Ojla, Afia by Halema Hussain, Dev by Abdul Sessay, and Paul by Jamie Bisping.

Julie Spry and Bob Weekes, who are Superintendents, work together with Rebecca Humphries, who is the Head of Administration, and police trainers Ukweli Roach and Ricky Champ, who are also known as Mike and Daz.

The creators of Piglets are Robert Harley, James Henry, Oriane Messina, Victoria Pile, Richard Preddy, and Fay Rusling. Omar Khan, who is also a member of the team and a recent recipient of the International Emmy's Sir Peter Ustinov Award for writers under 30, was chosen as a candidate for ITV's Comedy Writers Initiative. These talented individuals are also known for their work on popular shows like Green Wing and Campus on Channel 4.

The creative team collaborated with a group of four new writers, Abiola Ogunbiyi, Nusrath Tapadar, Farhan Solo, and Alex Bertulis-Fernandes. These writers were part of ITV's Comedy Writers Initiative, which supports new writers who are not well represented in comedy.

The show is directed by Sam Leifer and Victoria Pile, produced by Victoria Pile, and has executive producers Robert Harley, Caroline Leddy, and Sam Leifer.

Piglets is created in partnership with and shared worldwide by ITV Studios.

The show "Piglets" will be broadcast on ITV1 during prime time in July. It will also be shown on ITVX.
