ITV scores biggest audience of any UK channel in 18 months thanks to England's Euro struggles - TVBEurope
ITV's viewership reached its highest numbers since the 2022 World Cup.
ITV announced that a record-breaking 18.4 million viewers tuned in to watch England's win against Slovakia yesterday.
As per the TV station, this is the largest number of viewers any UK channel has had in a year and a half.
During the entire game, a total of 15.6 million viewers tuned in to watch, according to ITV. This represented 66 percent of the total audience watching TV at that time, with an impressive 89 percent of viewers aged 16-34. This was ITV's largest audience since the 2022 World Cup.
The Spain vs. Georgia game, which came right after England's match, reached its highest audience of 8.9 million viewers. This made it the most successful Sunday for ITV in more than ten years.
