Fiat, a specialist in producing compact vehicles from Italy, aims to bring a vibrant change to its display areas by discontinuing the production of cars painted in shades of grey. However, customers can still choose from black or white paint options.

Fiat, the renowned Italian automobile manufacturer, recently declared the cessation of manufacturing vehicles adorned with the hue of grey. Surprisingly, this decision was made despite grey being a highly sought-after shade in the global automotive industry.

According to reports, the decision will take effect right away – and the upcoming 600e electric SUV from Fiat will be the first vehicle to not offer a grey paint choice. All the details about this exciting model will be disclosed next week.

Despite the fact that grey is the color of choice for a significant number of new cars in the UK, as reported by Autocar using data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders in the UK, it is worth noting that this color is featured on one out of every four newly sold vehicles.

Fiat experienced a 6.8 percent decrease in sales worldwide, as reported by JATO Dynamics data. Additionally, in Australia, their sales plunged by a staggering 42 percent when comparing last year to 2021, encompassing both their passenger and commercial vehicles.

Fiat declares its desire to become known as "the brand that embraces a vibrant spectrum of hues" and asserts its commitment to exclusively offer "lively shades" inspired by "the majestic Italian Sea, the radiant Italian Sun, the bountiful Italian Earth, and the expansive Italian Sky".

Nevertheless, it will still provide Gelato White and Cinema Black colors, alongside a variety of reds, oranges, blues, golds, and greens.

The blog post has shared that the Fiat Australia website has not been modified to show the removal of the color grey. Instead, it still presents the option of Pompei Grey for the 500 Dolcevita petrol hatch and Mineral Grey for the upcoming 500e electric vehicle.

Fiat recently shared a promotional clip on social media featuring their CEO, Olivier Francois, sitting behind the wheel of a sparkling new 600e electric SUV. The eye-catching video captured the moment when this stunning silver vehicle was gently immersed in a massive container filled with vibrant orange paint, only to emerge as a true masterpiece.
