Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of Theranos, is now in prison. She was sentenced to 11 years for deceiving investors in her blood-testing company.

She's going to spend time at Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Texas. It's only for women and it's about 100 miles from Houston.

The prison is for low-risk prisoners. There are 600 inmates. The prison offers programmes to help prisoners get ready for life outside. This is written in the Camp Bryan handbook.

The Wall Street Journal says many inmates have done white-collar crimes, low-level drug offences, or harbored illegal immigrants.

Jen Shah is in Camp Bryan with other prisoners. She is from Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and was sent there for six years due to wire fraud. From the prison, she did a few blog posts. She said that there aren't many nice people there.

Jenna Ryan, a real estate agent from Texas, was a previous inmate. She had been convicted of being involved in the January 6 riots.

After she got out, Ms Ryan posted a video on Twitter. She talked about how she spent her time in jail. She ate bologna sandwiches and watched TV for 60 days.

The facility has mostly non-violent offenders. Security is not strong and the inmates sleep in dorms.

At 6am, Holmes starts his day with meals and work. If the inmates don't follow the wake-up rules, they'll get punished.

Elizabeth Holmes will begin her sentence in a minimum security prison. It's named Federal Prison Camp Bryan and located in Texas. She committed fraud and will serve 11 years.

At the prison, there's a study, game room, and work programs. The inmates learn about efficiency at work for six weeks. After that, they get assigned a job. The inmates can make as little as $0.12 per hour in some jobs. For example, they might work in the kitchen for three months when they first arrive.

The handbook says that inmates must make a financial plan. Holmes has to pay $452m.

The prison provides arts and crafts courses and a gym. Inmates can learn technical skills like cosmetology and Microsoft applications. They can also take classes in small business management.

Holmes' Family: How Will They Keep In Touch?

Holmes is with Billy Evans and they have two kids - William who's 2 and Invicta, a newborn. She'll live about 100 miles away from her family and they can visit only on weekends.

At Camp Bryan, prisoners can do video sessions with their loved ones. The handbook allows text messages too for them.

Holmes had a weekend with her family in San Diego. They stayed at a beach house they rented. She did this before going to Camp Bryan.
