Sam Smith managed to nullify Gayle's opener, however, the Royals Skipper, Andy Yiadom, was ousted from the game before Conor Hourihane secured the win through a penalty shot.

The match between Derby commenced with a powerful play, but it required Joel Pereira to make an exceptional save to prevent a goal from Joe Ward's free-kick at the 11th minute.
