Derby secured a victory over Blackpool thanks to Ebou Adams' debut goal, giving them a much-needed lift in their quest for automatic promotion.

Derby opted for an offensive lineup, however, it was the visiting team who had the first opportunity to score in the 29th minute. George Byers missed the mark with a lackluster shot from 15 yards away.

As soon as the ball was passed to Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, he swiftly shot towards the goal with a beautiful curl that was deflected by Daniel Grimshaw. The resulting corner kick came very close to being scored as it almost went in at the corner closest to the post.

Grimshaw was unable to stop Adams from scoring in the 40th minute when the ball was partially cleared and Adams took a fantastic shot from outside the box, hitting the target on his first attempt.

It was expected of Derby to score a second goal during the 55th minute of the game when Mendez-Laing made a pass to Conor Washington on the right side. However, Washington was unable to score and was defeated by Grimshaw.

The team called the Seasiders had a good chance to score in the 71st minute using a free-kick from Sonny Carey. However, the goalkeeper named Joe Wildsmith managed to make a save by reaching out and grabbing the ball.

The Rams were almost in trouble again when Kyle Joseph attempted to score twice, but Curtis Nelson and Eiran Cashin blocked his shots right before they could hit the goal.
