Advisory Companies Reach Agreement to Consolidate.

Cenkos Securities

Two City consulting businesses have come to an agreement to merge and form a team of 230 professionals.

Cenkos offers various services such as being a nominated adviser, sponsor, broker, and financial adviser for various companies and investment funds, regardless of their industry or growth stage. Their focus is on businesses seeking to trade shares on the London Stock Exchange's AIM or Main Market, as well as those already quoted on those markets.

FinnCap is a versatile company that provides a wide range of financial services to various institutions, corporations, and high net worth individuals. Their areas of expertise include providing valuable advice on mergers and acquisitions, raising capital through equity and debt, and other related services. Their clients span from private equity firms to family offices.

FinnCap Group and Cenkos Securities' board members have reached an agreement on an all-share deal that's highly recommended, resulting in a combined entity with over 210 listed or quoted clients under its care.

Two firms have joined forces and now have a total of over £50m in combined revenues. They plan to expand their success in areas such as equity capital markets, M&A advisory, and private growth capital fundraising.

The two companies, Cenkos and finnCap, will join forces and be run by their current CEOs, Julian Morse and John Farrugia, working together. Lisa Gordon will take on the role of chairperson for a board that has an equal number of directors from both Cenkos and finnCap.

According to Gordon, this forward-thinking and mutually advantageous consolidation establishes a leader that supports the expansion and investment of companies. These businesses include both those that are based in the UK and those that are founded by entrepreneurial individuals. These companies are the foundation of our economy.

The cultures of the two companies are alike and their customer bases and abilities complement each other. This is advantageous for our clients, staff, shareholders, and the United Kingdom's financial markets in general.

Robert Lister, who serves as the chair of finnCap and is set to become the senior independent non-executive director of the merged board, expressed his satisfaction with his two-year tenure as the firm’s chair. He was particularly pleased with the positive attitude, energy, and perseverance of finnCap’s employees, especially when they faced tough situations.

Although I have great faith in the future of finnCap, I am thrilled by the possibilities that the merged organization presents. I am eager to collaborate with Lisa and the board of the combined group, and witness our joined venture flourish.

SPARK Advisory Partners provides financial advice and is nominated as an adviser to Cenkos. On the other hand, Grant Thornton is nominated as an advisor to finnCap.

Oberon Capital and finnCap are working in partnership as joint brokers.
