Jon Dahl Tomasson LIVE: Blackburn Rovers react to Blackpool win
Blackburn Rovers moved up to fourth in the Championship table after Tyrhys Dolan's goal secured a 1-0 win over Blackpool.
Jon Dahl Tomasson's side recorded back-to-back wins for the first time since October thanks to a first-half strike from the in-form Dolan. It was a fantastic team move which started at the back and eventually saw the forward fire into the net from close range.
Rovers grew in confidence after the opener and should have made their dominance count against poor opposition. Chances for a second came and went with Blackburn in control despite the slender lead.
Sam Gallagher dragged a shot wide from a presentable position whilst substitute Tyler Morton could've sealed the points but lifted his shot just wide of the post. Blackpool offered little threat at the other end but could have levelled through Josh Bowler but he fluffed his lines inside the box.
In truth, it would have been a travesty if Rovers hadn't taken three points. Aysley Pears was barely tested and a second home win in three days has lifted hopes of a top-six finish.
Stay tuned for live updates of Tomasson's post-match press conference.

It's important to be solid and the lads invest a lad of energy to defend. I always want pressure on the ball. The lads are doing really well. Aynsley has five or seven clean sheets in nine games. Extremley positive.
21:59Elliott Jackson
Daniel we will have to see. Sam (Gallagher) was tired. It was a soft pitch and it cost a lot of energy.
21:59Elliott Jackson
We know how difficult this competition is. You can lose and win every game but we are solid.
21:58Elliott Jackson
It's been a tough schedule against good opponents. Those teams have been tough games. The levels of the games have been very high. I don't have news today, I will have news on Friday. They were not close to playing tonight.
21:57Elliott Jackson
It's quite low (goals) biut I'm enjoying the good thing. We have won a lot at home. We are 4th in the table but we are not looking at the table. We are chasing it with this young side.
21:57Elliott Jackson
Tyrhys is in a good place. He is doing really well. He is performing at a high level and we need goals to win games. We kept a clean sheet and we were extremely solid.
21:56Elliott Jackson
It was great to see that when we work on things in training we do it in the game. It was a great move. We controlled the game with a tough schedule so praise for the lads.
21:56Elliott Jackson
I am pleased, another win in front of the fans. It was deserved. It has been a tough schedule and we are dealing with that in a tremendous way. We played good football. The only frustrating thing is not getting the second goal. We controlled the game and I think the fans enjoyed it. Now we have the double against Blackpool in a local dery.

A deserved victory for Rovers. Two wins at home in three days lifts them to fourth in the table.
Could and should have been more comfortable but they never looked out of control from the moment they scored.
21:35Elliott Jackson
Blackpool get the ball in the box and it's pinball time. They're screaming for handball but nothing is given and it's then blazed over the bar.
21:33Elliott Jackson
Four added minutes for Rovers to get through.
21:31Elliott Jackson
Dolan is off for Hedges with a few minutes of normal time to play.
21:28Elliott Jackson
Into the final five minutes now and Rovers remain in control. Pears hasn't had a save of note to make but it's always nervous when you haven't put the game to bed.
21:24Elliott Jackson
Morton goes through on goal and lifts it over Maxwell but it falls wide of the post.
21:20Elliott Jackson
Vale is on for Gallagher whilst Szmodics is replaced by Morton.
21:14Elliott Jackson
Travis does excellently to win the ball back and drive up the pitch. Feeds Thomas who picks out Gallagher but he doesn't get the shot right.
21:07Elliott Jackson
Rovers have just started to sit off a touch and there's a warning. Cross from the left finds Bowler in the box but he completely fluffs his shot.
20:59Elliott Jackson
Rovers remain on top and have played some nice stuff. Szmodics, who has done well tonight, skips past his man and crosses for Rankin-Costello but his header is over.
20:53Elliott Jackson
Superb tackle from Brittain to stop Poveda from pulling the trigger from a dangerous area. That's a warning.
20:51Elliott Jackson
Dolan is booked for diving in the area. He's not impressed. Looked soft.
20:47Elliott Jackson
Back underway, Carter is on for Ayala.
20:44Elliott Jackson
It'll be Carter on for Ayala.
20:35Elliott Jackson
Ayala was holding his hamstring as he left the pitch for the break.

Good half for Rovers, who got better as the half wore on. Dolan's strike is the difference and they have been in control since scoring.
Blackpool haven't offered much but a one-goal lead is always dangerous. If they can get a second that would be that.
20:32Elliott Jackson
Lavery goes down under a challenge from Ayala just outside the box but nothing is given. Looked a little clumsy.
20:31Elliott Jackson
One more minute for Rovers to navigate. They have been in control since scoring.
