It's important to be solid and the lads invest a lad of energy to defend. I always want pressure on the ball. The lads are doing really well. Aynsley has five or seven clean sheets in nine games. Extremley positive.

Daniel we will have to see. Sam (Gallagher) was tired. It was a soft pitch and it cost a lot of energy.

We know how difficult this competition is. You can lose and win every game but we are solid.

It's been a tough schedule against good opponents. Those teams have been tough games. The levels of the games have been very high. I don't have news today, I will have news on Friday. They were not close to playing tonight.

It's quite low (goals) biut I'm enjoying the good thing. We have won a lot at home. We are 4th in the table but we are not looking at the table. We are chasing it with this young side.

Tyrhys is in a good place. He is doing really well. He is performing at a high level and we need goals to win games. We kept a clean sheet and we were extremely solid.

It was great to see that when we work on things in training we do it in the game. It was a great move. We controlled the game with a tough schedule so praise for the lads.

A deserved victory for Rovers. Two wins at home in three days lifts them to fourth in the table.

Could and should have been more comfortable but they never looked out of control from the moment they scored.

Blackpool get the ball in the box and it's pinball time. They're screaming for handball but nothing is given and it's then blazed over the bar.

Dolan is off for Hedges with a few minutes of normal time to play.

Into the final five minutes now and Rovers remain in control. Pears hasn't had a save of note to make but it's always nervous when you haven't put the game to bed.

Morton goes through on goal and lifts it over Maxwell but it falls wide of the post.

Vale is on for Gallagher whilst Szmodics is replaced by Morton.

Travis does excellently to win the ball back and drive up the pitch. Feeds Thomas who picks out Gallagher but he doesn't get the shot right.

Rovers have just started to sit off a touch and there's a warning. Cross from the left finds Bowler in the box but he completely fluffs his shot.

Rovers remain on top and have played some nice stuff. Szmodics, who has done well tonight, skips past his man and crosses for Rankin-Costello but his header is over.

Superb tackle from Brittain to stop Poveda from pulling the trigger from a dangerous area. That's a warning.

Dolan is booked for diving in the area. He's not impressed. Looked soft.
