Transavia Cancels 210 Flights In July-August

Air France–KLM

Today is Thursday, May 25th, 2023. It's 10:01 in the morning. I'm writing a blog post right now.

Transavia cancelled 210 more flights for summer vacation. These were planned for July and August. Previously, they cancelled 335 flights for May and June.

There are now cancelled flights from Schiphol and Eindhoven airports. These flights go to places like Alicante, Athens, and Faro. They also include flights to Malaga, Marrakesh, Reykjavik, and Valencia. There were 55 flights cancelled from Schiphol and 50 flights cancelled from Eindhoven. Another 55 flights that were supposed to return to Schiphol were also cancelled, along with 50 flights meant to return to Eindhoven.

The company Transavia said that a few flights were cancelled. The amount of cancelled flights is less than 2 percent. They didn't say how many people were impacted, but each flight can hold 189 people, which adds up to roughly 89,000 individuals.

The airline stated that they provided good options for passengers. The majority of passengers were satisfied with the options given.

The low-cost airline said they cancelled flights due to a lack of planes. Two planes needed unexpected repairs. Also, they had trouble getting approval for four 737s from Blue Air, a bankrupt Romanian airline. Transavia was supposed to take over those planes.

The cheap airline told customers about more cancellations on Thursday. They put the info on their website and said that only some flights will be cancelled because of the lack of planes.

"If you didn't get an email and your flight isn't on the canceled list, it means your flight will happen as planned."
