Viewers of the popular TV show Strictly Come Dancing were taken aback when an actor from the Harry Potter series made an unexpected appearance.

Last Saturday (21 October), the fifth week of the BBC dance competition saw a lineup of famous personalities give their all on the dance floor. Among the participants were Annabel Croft, Nigel Harman, and Bobby Brazier.

During Harman's performance with Katya Jones, who is his dance partner, the cameras captured a familiar face among the audience. The said individual is a former EastEnders star and theatre actor.

People watching the show quickly recognized that the person on screen was David Bradley, an actor who portrayed the grumpy caretaker Argus Filch in the Harry Potter movies. Some audience members also recalled him as the killer Walder Frey in Game of Thrones.

The majority of individuals who were watching from home all wondered the same thing- what was the reason for his presence in the audience?

One audience member questioned, "Why is Argus Filch present among the viewers?" Another individual added, "Am I still feeling drowsy from my afternoon slumber, or did I truly spot Filch from the Harry Potter series in the audience?"

Another fan commented that observing Argus Filch present in the viewers during Strictly brought joy to them more than anything else has in the past seven days. It's the little things that truly matter.

During the show, Claudia Winkleman announced that Bradley was present in the audience. Acting on this, Harman expressed that Bradley held a significant place in his life, being a great part of it.

It's been discovered that the duo have been buddies for a long while and acted alongside each other in The Caretaker play back in 2008. Then in 2022, they teamed up once more for the popular television show Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.

Bradley is a big admirer of Strictly and has gone to watch the program being recorded previously. He has also acted in Hot Fuzz, The World’s End, Doctor Who, and is soon to be in the latest Chicken Run movie called Dawn of the Nugget.
