According to the athlete, his leg is now in a good condition after he visited the hospital because of an infection in his leg.

Jody Cundy, a Paralympian athlete, has stated that his worries about leaving the competition of Strictly Come Dancing due to his hospitalization during the movie week have vanished.

During his preparation for the BBC One show where he would learn the Viennese waltz, a sportsman had to visit the hospital due to a leg infection. He attributed the cause of the infection to the accumulation of sweat between his limb and prosthetic leg.

On October 7th, Cundy got a total score of 20 from the panel of judges and was positioned at the bottom of the leadership table along with his dance partner Jowita Przystal, who achieved the Glitterball Trophy in 2022 with Hamza Yassin, the wildlife cameraman.

Cundy talked about his concerns regarding his ability to stay on the show if his leg injury persists. In the past, when his condition was severe and he couldn't put weight on his leg, he worried that it would affect his dancing abilities. This uncertainty left him unsure about his future on the show.

Luckily, I was able to reattach my leg early on Friday, October 6th. Now, all of my anxieties and worries related to my injury are gone. I can now resume my rigorous training and continue to improve my dancing skills.

Talking about the condition of his leg, he mentioned that it's in good shape now. He is able to walk on both feet again which is a positive sign. He has been walking on both feet throughout the week. Hence, they are taking extra care of his leg to ensure that it heals properly.

I believe that the continuous training sessions, which occurred for three weeks, caused harm to my leg. However, during that time, I was putting my leg in a position that I have not done before.

The weather is becoming increasingly hot and causing me to sweat profusely, which persists throughout the day. The liner in my training gear is made of silicone and is somewhat airtight, thus it does not facilitate breathing. As a result, after training for up to seven hours, the moisture remains trapped within the gear, which is quite unpleasant.

At the moment, we are taking some time to pause and tidy things up to ensure that everything is in order and problem-free. Our objective is to avoid encountering any issues by making sure that the conditions are optimal.

On Saturday, despite his strong will, he and his partner ended up at the bottom of the leaderboard once again. Their salsa dance was full of dynamic lifts and flips that added a dramatic effect.

On Saturday, Cundy marked his 45th birthday by scoring 19 points with his dance performance to Bellini's Samba de Janeiro.

The sportsman received mixed feedback from Judge Craig Revel Horwood for his performance. While the judge praised him for the lifts, he commented that it lacked smoothness and gracefulness.

Motsi Mabuse observed that Pryztal began the performance in a powerful way, tearing open his shirt. However, he seemed to lose his confidence as the performance progressed, becoming more reserved. Mabuse urged him to believe in himself and his abilities and display more assurance on stage.

Talking about the upcoming Sunday results show, he expressed, “I don't wish to leave this weekend...This is something I have become accustomed to and I want to continue with this momentum.”

I think that I have just barely started to learn how to dance. We have practiced some dances and I am beginning to understand it. Therefore, the thought of not being present next week is discouraging.
