The image depicts a young kid with dark hair, dressed in a onesie, being placed into a stroller within a kebab restaurant located in the eastern part of London.

The mother and father, Constance Marten, aged 36, and Mark Gordon, aged 49, eluded the police in the beginning of last year. They claim that they did not cause their child's death through extreme carelessness.

The Old Bailey was informed that they had utilized several hundred pounds on taxi fares and lived unconventionally before being apprehended in Sussex in February 2023.

A little while later, someone discovered the remains of infant Victoria stuffed inside a bag situated in a shed in Brighton.

In the past, the CCTV footage only revealed the child concealed beneath her mother's coat. However, on Tuesday, the jurors had a clear view of the child.

As they reached East Ham in a taxi, Gordon gave the baby to Marten, which was captured on camera. Additionally, another video depicted her unzipping her coat to reveal the baby.

The court observed that Gordon purchased a stroller from Argos while Marten remained in a German Doner Kebab store.

Upon his arrival, Marten placed the infant, who was enveloped in a crimson scarf, into the stroller.

Gordon shielded his face by putting his hands over it while the footage was shown. At the same time, his attorney requested a recess, mentioning that his customer was experiencing a significant amount of stress.

Marten has yet to appear in court.

During the court proceedings, it was revealed that the pair subsequently went to Whitechapel, situated in the east side of the city, where Gordon purchased a small shelter. From there, they proceeded to travel to Newhaven, located in the eastern region of Sussex.

The authorities had already started a significant search operation following the discovery of the couple's vehicle, which had been set on fire, just a couple of days earlier on the M61 close to Bolton.

According to the Old Bailey, CCTV captured Marten at a Texaco petrol station in East Sussex on January 12th. However, there was no further information about their whereabouts until February 20th when they were spotted near a golf course.

Joel Smith, the prosecutor, stated that Gordon was seen utilizing a branch as a tool for walking while the duo was engaged in "digging through garbage containers".

During the court hearing, Paul Rogers, who works as a person who takes dogs for a walk, mentioned that he saw them in the vicinity of the Hollingbury golf course located in Brighton.

He stated that while approaching them, he observed that their appearance was not put together, they seemed unclean, and it was possible they were without a permanent residence.

The male individual had two plastic bags, one in each hand. The female individual was pushing a stroller. They didn't have any other possessions with them.

He mentioned that he was unable to perceive the presence of an infant through sight or sound.

On the 27th of February, law enforcement authorities were able to eventually catch the pair on the outskirts of Brighton.

Marten and Gordon do not accept that they perverted the course of justice, hid the birth of a child, committed cruelty towards a child, or caused or allowed the death of a child.
